Personal:

I love to run because it involves only me and it challenges me.  It helps me feel good about myself.

Had to run it a lone today.  Good thing I had Madonna and Pink singing to me.  The program says how this is a hard workout mentally...well it is, especially when you don't have your running buddy there.  We couldn't go together because I miss Toby's message on facebook about going early. Hope I can hook up with her tomorrow.

Great dedication going it alone today.

Carolyn- Thank's for the support! I am hoping to keep up a little of the pool running when I get back into running. Maybe I can avoid more injuries by doing that.

Does anyone know if doing lunges and squats be a bad thing to do with a stress fracture?

From Smooth on Thu, Mar 11, 2010 at 22:48:39 from 174.23.198.220

That's a long pool running by yourself. GOOD JOB!

I think lunges and squats are great strength training. Be careful to protect the joints, knees and ankles. I can't remember, is the stress fracture in your foot? Is the pain localized?

I think you'd have to watch your balance very carefully and that's probably hard to do while doing lunges. Take them slow and concentrate on form.

Way to ROCK IT Cal!
