Personal:

I have been married for almost 14 years to the best man in the whole world.  I have 5 awesome kids and am trying to "find joy in every journey."

I love to run because it involves only me and it challenges me.  It helps me feel good about myself.

Day 6 of training:  8 miles, felt strong

Had a great run this morning!  It was a beautiful day and a great temp.  My husband was being extra supportive and came running with me.  That was a real treat!  I felt really good the whole run.  I was expecting to feel it on mile 7 but I felt great all the way to the end.

I am a music person and at about mile 2 my mp3 player died.  I stressed at first.  I thought, how am I going to run without my music.  Well, it is what it is and ran without.  I have to say it was actually really pleasant.  I really enjoyed it!

Great run today! I agree that no music is very peaceful. Nothing like zoning out everything but the beat of my heart and the cadence of my feet.

Way to go Callie! Hooray for Greg for going too! Charge up that ipod girlie! BTW - we need to get on Chuck. He hasn't started running. Not one bit :)

He's going to be in big trouble if he doesn't get going. We need to really bug him. How is your healing coming?

SLOW!!! I still have 2-3 weeks of no running. Then I can gradually start to run. So 10 minutes every other day for a week. Then 15 minutes every other day and so on. I have to be careful with coming back or I can refracture it or even break it.

I hope I am able to run enough for Grandmas. I LOVE trials!
