| | Usually I just enter in whatever mileage Strava says I ran. But Strava went crazy on me today and said I ran 2.92 miles at a 6:10 pace. Haha! Not even close. That's more than double my pace. Speedwise. Anyway, it was just before 5am that I started. It was kinda light out because the sun would be coming up soon. Today's high is supposed to be 107º, and I could feel it. I was actually feeling pretty good this morning, but then when the heat made me a little uncomfortable, I decided to just do one loop today. That turned out to be a good idea because once I turned on to Adobe, my knee started to hurt. I actually walked the last tenth of a mile home.
I saw a few people out there this morning. As I was approaching Brown I saw a light from a cyclist. That drew my attention to a dog walker on the other side of the Floodway. He was ahead of me and we crossed paths shortly after I exited the gate. When I went to enter the other gate on the other side of the Floodway, I looked back and saw that he wasn't walking down the street, and therefore must have gotten on the Floodway path. However, I couldn't see him. I ran along and figured I must've passed him by now, but I just couldn't spot him in the dark. Then I thought, "What if he started running? Then he's probably ahead of me." Sure enough I saw him running on the other side. I soon stopped after that to take a picture of the owl sitting on top of someone's house. I used night vision and zoomed all the way in. The picture didn't turn out great. After that I didn't see the man or dog anymore.

| | Yesterday I had to go do a site visit. I entered the address in my GPS and it located it fine, but when I activated it, it couldn't connect. Luckily I just needed to know the main streets and I found it easily. I figured with my last run and with this, that the GPS must be broken. My wife suggested I restart my phone. She's a genius.
It was back to working again this morning. There was a pretty lady playing with her dog at the park at the intersection. She was still there after I did my loop. There was another lady running down the street when I went by and I waved at her. I think the first lady got jealous.
