| | I got another free new pair of shoes for volunteering 3 times at the Adventure Run. It's been a while since I've gotten some. I had to quit volunteering right around the time they started only letting you get New Balance shoes. Luckily, they now let you get New Balance, Mizuno, Asics, and Brooks. I picked up a pair of Mizuno Trail running shoes and wore them today. They're fine, but they pick up a lot of small pebbles in the treads of the heels. Wouldn't you think a pair of trail shoes would not want to pick up pebbles? Oh, well, the Mizuno road shoes have a tendancy to pick up large stones in the arch. Still, they're the most comfortable shoes to me. Have a great week everyone. Thanks for making me #1 on the charts, and #1 in your hearts.

| | A little more than yesterday. A little slower than yesterday. I usually like to run in the floodway, but with the recent storms we've had, it's, wouldn't you know, flooded. So I ran on the east maintenance road of the RWCD canal. When I got to Main Street I turned around. I actually touched the gate before I turned around because somehow, if I hadn't touched the gate, the entire run would have not counted.
Found this video of Julie at the 2010 Top of Utah finish. She had quite the muscle spasm after finishing. And I think the clock broke.

| | I was having a stupid dream this morning that I thought I really needed to wait and see how it played out. My life depended on it. So yeah, it ended up with me sitting on the toilet for 30 minutes. Yeah. Great dream.
Finally got out to run at 9:30am. I ran along the RWCD Canal again. Saw lots of kois and amirs. I was surprised to see so many because they usually they like to hide in the shade when it gets hot. But maybe the heat causes the algae and moss to grow, so it's prime feeding time.
