What can I say?  I like my bed.  I finally rolled out of bed at 8am.  Got out the door at 8:30.  Started running at 8:45.  It was hot and I got real sweaty.  I saw a bird with a lizard in its claws.  I'm not sure what kind of bird it was, but it didn't look like a bird of prey.  It looked more like a dove.  I ran my normal route down the East Maricopa Floodway and back up the RWCD canal. As I approached Adobe St. I could see half a mile away on Brown Rd. a slow moving white truck.  I guessed it was an RWCD zanjero truck.  I was right.  I did a 180° and met him at the radial gate.  It was Rion, who was my lead zanjero for most of the time that I worked there in the field.  We had a nice short talk.  Which is saying something because that guy likes to talk.  And to tell truth, I used to love to listen to his stories.

Arizona must have a slightly different vocabulary. What is a zanjero? I could look it up, but that would require effort.

All right, i looked it up. I get it now. Arizona dies have a different vocabulary. Zanjero wasn't on dictionary.com, but Merrimack-Webster helped me out.

Good old Noah Webster. He knows. He always knows. So, the last time I gave a talk in church, I started it out the way so many people do with their topic, "Webster's dictionary defines faith as...." I don't remember what my topic was, but I used that line and then proceeded to tell everyone that's probably not what it says because I don't even have a Webster's Dictionary. But it probably says something like that.

I remember looking it up awhile back. I still don't get it. But my IQ has been known to fluctuate.

I've noticed that, Joe. Especially in the summer months. The heat must fry your brain.

Whenever I hear or see adobe, I think of Pee Wee Herman. Thanks a lot!

Burt- The dove with a lizard in it's claws is a sign. A blank one.

It's been an hour and a half since you commented, QP, and it still shows up in the Recent Comments. Well, it won't after this, but what's up with the blog??? Doesn't anybody comment on other people's blogs anymore???

From Burt on Wed, Jun 04, 2014 at 13:59:43 from 174.26.201.70

Also, I think you have a blank sign in your head. Or something.

If by anyone you mean RAD, she's too busy being my "new girl" at the business I recently started up.

As far as everyone else, I think blank sign pretty much says it all.

I've been rocking myself in a corner since Burt called me an SOB the other day. I'll be more active as soon as my self esteem comes back.

QP- You always crack me up:)

Tara - sorry. I got caught up in the moment of your glory. I still haven't done Day 4 of the 30 Day Ab Challenge. Wink wink.
