More flag football today with the guys and a couple of girls this time.  It was fun, but I suck as QB.  I found out today that the calendar on the ARR website was wrong and that the  Open Mile is tonight.  Now I have the perfect excuse for not hitting allie's predicted 5:55.  Or was it 5:50?  No, she said 5:45.

Oh, I did that in high school once. Now I have nothing to prove.

JK. Who knows? Maybe I have another one in me.

How blessed am I to have two Aprils comment on my blog this morning? Uh, very. So I had just barely posted on facebook that I'm never going to get a Nike sponsorship doing these small time races. Then you tell me to JUST DO IT! LOL!

From Burt on Tue, Nov 16, 2010 at 11:36:21 from 206.19.214.144

Is there a prize for the closest guess? 5:52.7

From julieesplin on Tue, Nov 16, 2010 at 15:44:02 from 75.169.177.68

It doesn't matter the time as long as you run hard enough to throw-up or at least dry-heave a little.

From Burt on Tue, Nov 16, 2010 at 15:55:49 from 206.19.214.144

Chris - I knew you were a karaoke boy.

Sam - 5:30? My legs would fall off!

Melody - Yes. SlowJoe is handling all that. He's the blog promoter and bookie.

Julie - There's supposed to be pizza there. Maybe if I eat some beforehand I'll be upchucking. If I do, I'll send you the video.

From PRE on Tue, Nov 16, 2010 at 16:15:48 from 204.60.75.185

Hey Burt,

Hope you did well for the mile. My prediction was 5:52 based on your Sept. 5:58 mile. Allie predicted 5:55.

So what kind of time did you get for that mile on Monday?

From Burt on Tue, Nov 16, 2010 at 16:25:15 from 206.19.214.144

It's actually today PRE. We'll see...

5:56 is my bet. But I hope I'm wrong and you do much better. Good luck.

Were you hospitalized after the mile run or what? Come on with the results already. You're among friends here. You can tell us no matter what the result!

From ChrisM on Wed, Nov 17, 2010 at 13:20:32 from 86.148.223.166

What do we want?

RESULTS!

When do we want them?

NOW!

From Burt on Wed, Nov 17, 2010 at 13:29:30 from 206.19.214.144

Sorry guys. I was hoping they'd post the results real quick like they did last time. I'm pretty sure it was about a second slower than last time, too. :( Nobody bet that I'd be slower.
