You just gotta enjoy being out there sometimes.

From ACorn on Fri, Sep 09, 2011 at 12:57:44 from 68.66.168.22

Not a bad training run. You kept it slow on purpose and are coming back from some injuries. Hang tough!

From Burt on Fri, Sep 09, 2011 at 13:12:38 from 206.19.214.144

Thanks guys. Saying I ran 3 miles at a 9 min. pace is ok. But saying I ran a 5k in 27:35 kinda hurts. :P

From Kira Bell on Fri, Sep 09, 2011 at 13:38:31 from 74.220.196.214

Good job Burt!

From RAD on Fri, Sep 09, 2011 at 15:15:30 from 76.27.16.189

Running slow is what it's all about! :)

From Burt on Fri, Sep 09, 2011 at 15:43:29 from 206.19.214.144

Kira - Gotta get myself ready for Vegas Ragnar :)

RAD - My plan is to run slower and slower until I'm faster.

From ACorn on Fri, Sep 09, 2011 at 17:53:55 from 68.66.168.22

I like the new pic. Is that flatlander behind you?

From Burt on Fri, Sep 09, 2011 at 17:54:29 from 206.19.214.144

Why yes it is. Good call!

From julieesplin on Fri, Sep 09, 2011 at 18:25:45 from 75.169.160.194

155% of yesterday's run is not a bad trend. I'll expect 4.805 miles tomorrow.

From Burt on Fri, Sep 09, 2011 at 18:38:08 from 206.19.214.144

Look at you college girl, busting out the advanced math. Ok, I'll do it. But remember, tomorrow is the Walk for Down Syndrome.

From Rye on Fri, Sep 09, 2011 at 18:43:27 from 174.27.123.67

Nice of you to share your pic with a legend!

From Burt on Fri, Sep 09, 2011 at 18:54:00 from 206.19.214.144

I should have asked his permission first.

From The Quiet Pirate on Fri, Sep 09, 2011 at 22:06:33 from 65.191.243.172

I like your plan to keep running slower & slower until you get faster. I've been signed up for that plan and making payment installments on it for about 9 months now. I expect to be the owner of a new PR any day now.

Glad you're back on the road. Have a great time tomorrow at your Walk- I know it will be full of smiles and high 5's.

From Hamdog Alum on Fri, Sep 09, 2011 at 22:13:26 from 68.185.190.140

Nice pic Burt!

From Burt on Sat, Sep 10, 2011 at 02:41:28 from 72.223.91.148

Thanks QP. Should be fun. The Suns gorilla will be on hand as well as Barney, Baby Bop, and Sponge Bob.

From Burt on Sat, Sep 10, 2011 at 02:42:03 from 72.223.91.148

Hamdog - that may be the only picture you will find of me running in front of Flatlander.

From Merri on Sat, Sep 10, 2011 at 23:11:14 from 160.7.252.148

I like the new sport shot. :)

From flatlander on Mon, Sep 12, 2011 at 00:01:43 from 198.207.244.102

Just saw this, so glad I clicked over to your blog! Can't believe anybody but me recognized who it was. Hate to tell you, but you can't change it ever.

From Burt on Mon, Sep 12, 2011 at 12:56:33 from 206.19.214.144

Merri - "Oooooooooh! Sports car!" "Are you in love with your sister?" "Well, she's cute." (I'll have to tell you that story sometime.)

Flat - Of course everyone recognizes the legend. I remember the first picture I had up I swore I'd never change it because it was a picture of me and my wife at a Ragnar. She thought it was so sweet that she was in my profile pic. Things change, I guess. BTW, it's her birthday today, so wish her a happy one. But not here. Today's blog post would be more appropriate.
