I got up at 6:30am and piddled around for an hour and a half before I got out the door.  (I just looked up the definition of piddled.  I did not do that for an hour.)  It was already 78°.  I brought a water bottle with me and stashed it at the bridge by the RWCD Canal.  I felt real good at first, but the heat seemed to drain the energy out of me after the first two miles.

you need a magic water fountain

From Burt on Tue, May 27, 2014 at 20:41:55 from 71.223.32.7

There's one that's not so magical because it's only a block away from my house. What good does that do me???

you should have used "puttered"

From ACorn on Tue, May 27, 2014 at 21:09:48 from 71.213.41.74

I believe "pittered" is also acceptable if there are drupes nearby.

From Burt on Tue, May 27, 2014 at 22:00:03 from 71.223.32.7

puttered - occupy oneself in a desultory but pleasant manner, doing a number of small tasks or not concentrating on anything particular. Oh yeah. That's really good.

pittered - A contrivance for removing the pits from peaches, plums, and other stone fruit. Geez, Acorn. Keep it family safe.

I'm sorry I missed the bloody nips discussion from last week. This one is only so so.

I'm guessing you're not that sorry you missed it, Tracy. Nope, you're not sorry at all.
