I stayed up late last night watching some Lifetime for Women made for TV drama.  So this morning I didn't wake up 'til 8:45am.  I knew my wife (slave driver) wanted me to work all day on various projects, but I still wanted to get a nice long run in sometime today.  One project was pulling the weeds in the front yard and blowing the leaves.  It wasn't long before my allergies started to pick up.  Then I washed the inside of my van so it would be nice for Ragnar.  Then on to the backyard to pull more weeds.  More allergies.  Then dishes.  Then we had company come over.  Then I ate a hotdog, bratwurst, and Doritos for dinner.  Then I had an ice cream sandwich.  So I bagged the idea of going on a real long run.  I decided just to do 4 miles.  Now I'm sitting here typing my entry with a stuffy nose and an upset stomach.  Have a good Sunday.

One of the passengers on the helo was a woman who works for the aafes, which is the store here. She was mobbed with guys asking here for cigarettes and Doritos. I've never been addicted to nicotine, but I'm having fake powdered cheese withdrawals.

At first I read that as though your withdrawals were fake. But you know what they say about Doritos; 'once you pop, you can't stop.' Either that or it's 'It ain't easy, being cheesy.' Something like that.

Well, at least you got some mileage in today. I'm still holing out hope to do a long run today....(tonight?) It's hard when family, responsibilities, and life in general gets in the way of a good training run. :)

A hotdog AND a bratwurst????

Oh man ... that hurts my tummy just thinking about it!!

(Nice splits on your 4-miler.)

You think that's bad - you ought to try one of Paul Peterson's famous (or is it infamous?) brurgers . . . makes my mouth water just thinking about it.

From Burt on Mon, Feb 23, 2009 at 10:08:11

I thought Paul was a beacon of health. I mean, the guy only eats one square of dark chocolate a week, for crying out loud.

Does your wifey know that you refer to her as the "slave driver"???
