Yesterday morning I weighed 197.  After my P90X workout, I weighed 193.  This morning first thing I still weighed 193.  After my run I weighed 191.5.  What happened?  Well, I've been eating nothing but salads and apples for the last two weeks.  Finally last night I took a cheat day (don't know if they're allowed) and ate two slices of Papa Murphy's pizza.  They were heavenly.  I should have been eating nothing but pizza for the last two weeks.

Last night my friend invited me to a "leadership" meeting.  It ended up being a meeting for a multilevel marketing company for the distribution of MonaVie acai berry juice.  While I could use some extra income, I don't know that I'm sold on the product.  I had a can of it, and all it seemed to do was make me groggy on the drive home, and make me not be able to fall asleep because my heart seemed to be beating fast.  So I've been doing research this morning, and of coures I'm reading all the stuff from people that are against it.  Has anyone else used the product or have an opinion on it?  I am involved in a MLM company with Beachbody for P90X, but at least it's something I know works.

Today was the first day of school for the kids and Abby's very first day of kindergarten.  I had to cut my run short with Marathon Dreamer so that I could be there for Abby's big day.  We ran 3.48 miles at a 9:45 pace.  My Garmin died after a mile because it either wasn't placed on the charger correctly or someone was playing with it.  MD kept going for another 2.5.  Truth be know, she probably ran another 5 because she's been running crazy lately.

*******************************************************************************

Day 38 P90X - Back and Biceps/Ab Ripper X - Love that B&B is only 52 minutes followed by 16 minutes of ARX.  However, some of the exercises aren't very nice.  Corn cob pull-ups.  Towel pull-ups.  Maximum rep pull-ups.  Yeah.

Papa Murphy's pizza is the stuff dreams are made of! EAT MORE!! :)

No Experience with the MonaVie stuff, but I'd check the ingredient list and research the stuff you don't know and find out what is really in it - that is what I usually do with that kind of stuff.

CONGRATS on the first big day of Kindergarten. I've cried with everyone I've dropped off so far - it's a big day!

Thanks RAD. I think this was the first time my wife didn't cry. haha!

From Nan on Wed, Aug 11, 2010 at 15:12:28 from 24.8.144.22

Have you seen that MLM spoof movie "Believe?" Hilarious.

As far as Mona Vie goes, I think there are other companies selling pretty much the same product in grocery stores for 1/10th of the cost, so you may want to look into that first.

Pizza!!!!

If it wasn't for eating the pizza you might have been under 190 tomorrow

I should give you a pizza my mind

From Bec on Wed, Aug 11, 2010 at 17:01:42 from 76.23.55.210

Pizza,mmmmm... does a body good! I have been using Mona Vie on and off for about a year now. I can't really tell a difference from the product. Extra vitamins and acai are always good right? Kind of funny how the meeting was called a "Leadership" meeting.

wow cool weight loss Burt, I need some of that lol

From Scott Wesemann on Wed, Aug 11, 2010 at 18:53:40 from 66.239.250.209

Hey Burt, next time you're in town I have a leadership meeting for you as well. If you just want to make this easier, send me a check for $200.00 and we won't have to jump through the hoops. I'll look for it. Thanks.

my sister's husband's dad is the founder of mona vie. i don't use it, even though i could get it for free. does that answer your question?

i sell knives and jade jewelry out of my car. let me know if you want to get involved.

From Bonnie on Wed, Aug 11, 2010 at 20:48:52 from 128.196.228.134

Scott, that was an AWESOME post.

I have a lot of "leadership" involving folding clothes, cleaning up dog poop and cleaning the garage -- today only, this "leadership" will be FREE (better deal than Scott's).

Thanks KP. That's sweet of you.

Rhett - I thought I'd try it again and supplement it with a couple of grilled cheese sandwiches. Now I'm up half a pound :(

so many MLM nutritional supplement choices out there..mona vie... xango.. juice plus... herbalife.. reliv... 4life... each one touting it's unique health benefits....should we take them all? at 30 dollars+ per month for each that can get pretty expensive. or is one so much better than the other? maybe you should have your buddy clarify why mona vie is the one to take when there are so many choices... and only herbalife, nuskin and xango make Orrin Hatch's top 10 contributors list:

Hit a drive-in with me and I'll solve your little weight loss problem. Not just the two of us. That would be, um, weird.

From artichoke on Thu, Aug 12, 2010 at 22:15:12 from 97.126.184.64

My cousin's kid sold Xango in Mexico. It was definitely multi-marketing. He no longer does it nor does he use it. I don't know if it's similar to mona vie or not . All sounds like snake oil to me.

Pizza, P90X, Popular vitamin drinks, Power of Persuasion, Possible Paranoia,

....evidently the letter of the week is P.

And where is your grandfather right now, little miss sunshine??? Loved it. :-)

Burt, twinkles for breakfast, that will do the trick, your scales have gone wacko, never trust the scales, the mirror gives a truer picture. MLM, money to be made if you get in early and out early before the buyers catch on. If someone makes money, someone loses?
