Yeah, I was too lazy to get out last night.  But I did eat a lot.  We have a really good friend that's moving her family to Poland today.  Last night was a little farewell party for them.  They should be back in a year and a half, but she was crying as if it was her funeral.  I told her nobody cries at their own funeral.

3 rushed miles this morning.  Must get up earlier.  So my son managed to get himself up this morning.  He was out the door to catch the bus while I was doing my warmup stretching.  I'm sorry to say that it made me really suspicious.  He had a skinny jeans incident last year.  Anyway, nevermind that.  So I ran up behind him when he was halfway down the road and grabbed his backpack and started feeling it for any paraphernalia that's not acceptable to bring to school.  He had his headphones in and didn't realize what was going on.  You should have seen him jump when he realized someone had a hold of his backpack.  Backpack, backpack.  Backpack, backpack.  Anything that you may need I got inside for you...

I know! I would have had to confiscate it and say, "We did it, we did it, we did it yeah, lo hicimos!"

From runningafterbabies on Tue, Aug 16, 2011 at 14:06:30 from 71.195.219.247

I guess that's why it is recommended not to run with headphones on. Burt might come up from behind and scare the daylights out of you!

From Burt on Tue, Aug 16, 2011 at 14:11:59 from 206.19.214.144

That's going to happen irregardless of whether or not you're wearing headphones. Or regardless. I like irregardless.

when you were telling your story. i thought you were going to say that you were going to de-pants him in his skinny jeans! now that would be funny/but mean!

From Burt on Tue, Aug 16, 2011 at 14:45:33 from 206.19.214.144

Why do guys think skinny jeans are cool? Come on! Gross!

From RAD on Tue, Aug 16, 2011 at 17:20:45 from 76.27.16.189

Skinny jeans are NOT cool. So, did you confiscate any 'illegal' paraphernalia?

From Burt on Tue, Aug 16, 2011 at 17:29:51 from 206.19.214.144

No confiscation took place. It's hard being the "courageous parent." Ya know?

Way to remind your son who Dad is. And...I know I can always come to your blog for another disturbing profile pic. Thanks for not disappointing.

1- Skinny jeans are not cool.

2- I wish you'd come rip the monkey off my son's back and feed it to cyclops.

3- maybe you should have surprised your son with one of your "night terror" farts first.

Headphones aren't allowed at school....am I right? Don't want the teacher to get a free ipod. Ours have to stay at home! Did you find a DS in there? I always had to take those out last year.
