This morning I got to go run down Power Road to check out the impacts the road widening project will have on the private irrigation facilites from Ray Road to Pecos.  I grabbed my camera and my wife got me two squeeze bottles of ice water.  I left one in the truck for when I was done and carried one with me.  I parked in the Super Target parking lot, stretched out, and took off.  I would stop periodically to take pictures and video.  All in all I ran exactly 6 miles.  And hey, I got paid to do it!

Start weight - 196

Finish weight - 188.5

Temp - 99

I felt some soft tissue discomfort at mile 5.  I looked down at my chest to see my meat was starting to brown.  I took my shirt off for the last mile.  Nobody honked at me.  And I'm still going to be pasty white for my 60 day pictures coming up tomorrow.

Day 59 P90X - Shoulders & Arms/Ab Ripper X

I refereed a couple of games for the young men's basketball at church last night.  They're good kids.  It was quite the workout.  Also, I backed up into the bleachers and my bumped my left leg pretty good.  I really didn't want to do my P90X tonight, but I did anyway.  Luckily this is my favorite workout.  My wife videoed me doing Ab Ripper X.  Now there's proof that fat guys can do sit-ups, too.

Now that you are a professional runner you should check out getting a shoe contract.

From Burt on Thu, Sep 02, 2010 at 12:30:41 from 68.225.214.248

Toby - Oh good. I knew if I just stuck with it, eventually it would come back into style.

Eric - it's a beautiful thing.

MD - did you find a way to get that stink out of your clothes? I don't have that problem as I smell like chocolate strawberry roses.

Flat - I'd like to get a contract with Crocs, but Sasha, allie, and April have already got that market cornered.

allie - I think I'll make you wait another day.

ben - you'd probably throw a Thirst Buster at me, too.

Chris - 5, but that's an average.

From RAD on Thu, Sep 02, 2010 at 14:35:45 from 67.172.229.125

Excellent paid run (a little jealous!), and I loved hearing you count along with them. I always do that, it seems to make it go faster if I count!

From Scott Wesemann on Thu, Sep 02, 2010 at 16:11:30 from 66.239.250.209

Someone at my work just 'busted' me watching your video. How do I explain that?

From JD on Thu, Sep 02, 2010 at 16:14:57 from 70.96.78.157

You pasty professional runner types get all the breaks.

From ChrisM on Thu, Sep 02, 2010 at 16:27:19 from 86.177.61.159

weight to go Burt!

From Burt on Thu, Sep 02, 2010 at 16:38:09 from 206.19.214.144

RAD - Do lightning bolts strike when you're done counting like on Sesame Street?

Scott - I dunno. Tell them you're gay. You're lucky I edited it because there was a slight wardrobe malfunction.

JD - we live in a sick twisted world.

Chris - 16 lbs. to go.

From Scott Wesemann on Thu, Sep 02, 2010 at 17:23:01 from 66.239.250.209

Wardrobe malfunction? BAAAAAAAD visual!

From Bec on Fri, Sep 03, 2010 at 00:15:54 from 67.172.233.189

That video just made my day for some reason. It was also a little motivating. Guess I will go and do some ABS now. Nah, I will just eat ice-cream.

From The Quiet Pirate on Fri, Sep 03, 2010 at 15:19:13 from 152.26.59.252

oh how I wish the photos and videos weren't blocked on this computer.... at least I won't get busted watching Count's wardrobe malfunction and browning meat.

It IS cool that you found a way to combine work with running. Can't wait to see the full report with pix & videos when I'm home!

From The Quiet Pirate on Fri, Sep 03, 2010 at 17:20:05 from 65.191.108.72

finally got to see the pix & video...lookin' good!

I can't imagine doing an hour of that kind of workout intensity every day.

Most of all, I'm impressed with the last portion of the video where you've achieved karma and are levitated on the wall doing your workout...very nice!!

From Burt on Fri, Sep 03, 2010 at 19:09:49 from 206.19.214.144

Hey Bec - Glad I could make your day. If you want me to unmake your day today, just look at the pictures I posted for my 60 day progress. You might throw up a little in your mouth. And you better believe I had a big bowl of ice cream right after taking them.

QP - Pretty amazing, huh? The twist on the left side is a lot easier than the twist on the right side as I'm not fighting gravity. :)
