You're putting in the miles and the p90x. Impressive. So do you skip the iPod and just sing to yourself?

From Burt on Thu, Sep 09, 2010 at 13:00:42 from 206.19.214.144

No iPod. Hark the Hearld because my daughter's been teaching herself how to play it on the piano and Teenage Dream because of some silly internet video I saw.

From Chad on Thu, Sep 09, 2010 at 13:03:50 from 168.177.153.171

Yes, but do you sing them as you run? lol

From Metcalf Running on Thu, Sep 09, 2010 at 13:19:36 from 207.225.192.66

Those are some diverse songs... I have had Defying Gravity since I seen Wicked this last weekend.

Hey... nice run!! I was with you in spirit this morning!! ;-) Ernie.

From RivertonPaul on Thu, Sep 09, 2010 at 15:09:11 from 67.42.27.114

Burt, "let's go all the way, tonight" (just not with each other).

From allie on Thu, Sep 09, 2010 at 15:44:12 from 161.38.218.168

one of my XC teammates in HS once told me that she sang "more holiness give me" in her head to the rhythm of her breathing and footfalls. sometimes she would sing it out loud. so now it often pops into my head while i am running, especially during races. it's really annoying. am i allowed to say that about a hymn?

From Lily on Thu, Sep 09, 2010 at 15:49:44 from 67.199.181.73

You are allowed to say that about the hymn if I am allowed to call church the Church of beans and rice and rattling snakes. :) ha! Allie you always make me laugh so.

Burt that's so illegal ;)

LOL@RivertonP !!!

From Burt on Thu, Sep 09, 2010 at 16:02:39 from 206.19.214.144

Chad - I usually don't sing out loud when I'm running unless I do have my MP3 player with me. And it's usually Cindy Lauper. Unspoken expectations. Ideas we used to play with. They're finally taking shape. What's good enough for you is good enough for me. You just can't help but sing that out loud.

Lori - Don't get any ideas in my wife's head about going to any musical. Her birthday's coming up in three days.

MD - I saw those fast treadmill miles of yours. Nice job!

RP - No regrets. Just love.

allie - And thank you for that hymn which I'm sure will be in my head for many runs to come.

Lily - Are 18 year olds teenagers? Burt!!!! Knock that off! Not funny!

From Chad on Thu, Sep 09, 2010 at 16:17:06 from 168.177.153.171

It looks like I have some songs I need to download.

From baldnspicy on Thu, Sep 09, 2010 at 19:53:17 from 72.77.98.144

Sounds like an O-Town song. Teenage Dream, that is.

From Bec on Fri, Sep 10, 2010 at 00:08:10 from 67.172.233.189

Bahaha. You listen to the same kind of music my Jr. High students listen to. You were probably getting into your run grooving to that song. Maybe you should put that on Youtube.

From ChrisM on Fri, Sep 10, 2010 at 04:07:31 from 130.88.123.4

I actually have a cassette(!) with Cyndi Lauper songs on: Girls just wanna have fun, Sally's pigeons, Who let in the rain, Time after Time...

From Colby Park on Fri, Sep 10, 2010 at 05:52:44 from 208.79.15.162

Burt, nice to see you running a bit more. Have you tried the MoTab while running yet?

From Rhett on Fri, Sep 10, 2010 at 12:00:41 from 184.10.154.226

You're scaring me Burt. :)

From Scott Wesemann on Fri, Sep 10, 2010 at 12:25:24 from 66.239.250.209

Teenage Dream? Burt, do you own a van with drawn curtains? Keep a clown costume in the back? Always looking for a lost puppy? Comb the high schools looking for dates. HAHA!

I'm kidding.

From Burt on Fri, Sep 10, 2010 at 12:29:16 from 68.225.214.248

No Mo Tab Colby. My MP3 player isn't as manageable as an iPod, so I listen to the same songs over and over.

Rhett - you're the 2nd person to say that to me lately. I must really be putting out the creepy vibe.

Scott - I wasn't sing Jethro Tull's Aqualung.

From Burt on Fri, Sep 10, 2010 at 12:30:16 from 68.225.214.248

BRW Rhett - did you see the new blogger navarro? His URL says havasued. I wondered if he was from Havasu and maybe you knew him. He hasn't blogged yet though.

From Rhett on Fri, Sep 10, 2010 at 15:40:12 from 184.10.154.226

Burt, I do know a guy with the last name of navarro who runs here in town. He used to run in college and has a marathon PR of something like 2:38. He is pushing 50 now and is still pretty fast for his age. Ed is his first name. I'll have to go welcome him to the blog.

From Burt on Fri, Sep 10, 2010 at 15:45:59 from 206.19.214.144

It's got to be the same guy. You'll have to send him a PM I think.
