The cool thing about today's run is I had 1 mile in the 8's, 1 mile in the 7's, and 1 mile in the 6's.  Okay, that's not that cool.  But as I was cruising along in my 6's a teenager gave me the brotherly fist sign.

Time - 22:49 (avg. pace 7:36)

Splits - 7:54, 6:21, 8:34

I find it so difficult NOT to speed up when the young people appear. Especially guys; I have a secret competitive side, just like you do.

From rAtTLeTrAp on Wed, Oct 06, 2010 at 12:21:53 from 69.96.150.136

I'll second that fist sign and add a virtual chest bump! Nice splits. You must have been getting some good cardio workouts with P90X. I bet you'll be seeing a lot more of those 6's as you increase your mileage.

From Burt on Wed, Oct 06, 2010 at 13:34:58 from 206.19.214.144

That's what I like about you auntieem.

Trap - you would have been drenched had you chest bumped me today. Which reminds me, we had an awesome storm yesterday. Almost like a tornado or hurricane. I'll have to post the video my wife took. Trees were blowing over. Streets were flooded. And it only lasted about 20 minutes!

From rAtTLeTrAp on Wed, Oct 06, 2010 at 13:49:10 from 69.96.150.136

Cool. I love storms, as long as they don't wreck any of my stuff.

From ChrisM on Wed, Oct 06, 2010 at 13:50:01 from 86.178.235.148

all the numbers from 1 to 8 appear at least once in your splits

spooky...

From Scott Wesemann on Wed, Oct 06, 2010 at 13:50:01 from 66.239.250.209

Streets were flooded?? Burt, you wringing out that grey shirt again?

From Burt on Wed, Oct 06, 2010 at 13:58:14 from 206.19.214.144

Trap - the neighbor's tree fell in our driveway. Good thing my truck wasn't there.

Chris - how do you even notice that? Did you decipher the DaVinci code, too?

Scott - LOL!!!!!!!! hey, you suck.

From RAD on Wed, Oct 06, 2010 at 14:12:57 from 67.172.229.125

Nice work on those 1-8 splits Burt! Do you feel like something is missing in your life w/out having to do p90X everyday?

From Sammie Howard on Wed, Oct 06, 2010 at 15:19:00 from 86.135.21.161

From baldnspicy on Wed, Oct 06, 2010 at 23:37:34 from 72.77.68.219

Chris - nice catch! BTW, I prefer nerdy. I'm told it's sexier.

You killed that run, Killer!

From SlowJoe on Thu, Oct 07, 2010 at 13:49:47 from 214.13.130.104

I would've given you a brotherly fist sign too for that 6:21, wow! Although that is probably only third gear for you now, being a sub-6 guy.

From flatlander on Thu, Oct 07, 2010 at 18:00:38 from 198.207.244.102

Nailed the run, good job.

From Burt on Thu, Oct 07, 2010 at 18:06:49 from 206.19.214.144

BNS - Chris had his nerd on at Eric Day's blog, too.

Sammie - careful with the high fives. My dream is to be a hand model.

Joe - I'll probably never see another 5 again. Sigh.

Flat - Thanks.
