Just Friday I was thinking about how silly it was that time I saw Bruce RUN2DAY running towards me and thought it was a dog.  So this morning I saw this coyote running running straight towards me from across the road.  But then it seemed to get bigger.  A big dog is coming right toward me.  Is it a wolf?  Fight or flight?  I stopped dead in my tracks, clinching my fists, getting ready to fight a dog when I saw that it was indeed RUN2DAY again.  I said, "That's the 2nd time you've done that to me!"  He had no idea what I was talking about.

Time - 1:27:16 (avg. pace 8:44)

Splits - 8:39, 8:39, 8:42, 8:43, 8:48, 8:49, 8:38, 8:45, 8:47, 8:49

Standard deviation - 4.3 seconds

Curse this vow to not have sugar for the month of February.  I had to put bananas on my pancakes last night instead of syrup.  Here are some of the goodies I had to pass up last week.

So is the confusion your fault or his? Maybe he needs a haircut?

From Burt on Mon, Feb 22, 2010 at 12:38:17 from 206.19.214.144

He does have a bushy moustache, but it's just that he's so fast, I'm not expecting a human to run that fast.

From seeaprilrun on Mon, Feb 22, 2010 at 12:42:13 from 68.103.242.46

Good job Burt! Those look sooo delicious. I also had to fight the birthday party woes as I passed up my son's birthday cake and cookies'n'cream ice cream.

From RAD on Mon, Feb 22, 2010 at 14:11:25 from 67.172.229.125

sugar, schmoogar; however, I'm glad to still be eating it. (Even though I'd be better off if I'd at least cut down a bit!) You guys are all SO strong for cutting it out. I'd be in no sugar mania for weeks and they'd have commit me!

Nice run for the morning, nice paces and crazy miles! It cracks me up to think that a human can make you think they're a coyote. Must be like Wile E - walks upright :)

From rAtTLeTrAp on Mon, Feb 22, 2010 at 14:13:22 from 75.230.203.54

I feel your pain :) Every time I fast, people bring goodies to work.

From Samantha Dean-Howard on Mon, Feb 22, 2010 at 14:14:17 from 90.201.147.80

OOOH I had to have sugar today after my run I was low really low, so some choccie minstrels helped LOL your great avoiding all that yummy tummy food well done :)

From Burt on Mon, Feb 22, 2010 at 14:57:23 from 206.19.214.144

April - wow! You are staying strong. Hang in there sister!

RAD - I know. My wife laughed at me, too. I guess it's just me and my wild imagination.

RT - It never fails, huh? And last night my daughter brought this plate home from her youth fireside filled with cookies and cupcakes.

Sam - European chocolate is pretty good. We fatties in the USA love milk chocolate. Oh, and I forgot to tell you. Friday I saw 5 bunnies. None today.

From SlowJoe on Mon, Feb 22, 2010 at 16:46:16 from 131.59.200.80

Ouch, good thing February only has 28 days - that was a good month to pick. One of the things my wife gave up for Lent was french fries. She may get into heaven, but I get double french fries until Easter.

Nice run as well, low standard deviation huh?

From Burt on Mon, Feb 22, 2010 at 17:34:54 from 206.19.214.144

Supersize it Joe! Yeah, that's a low SD. I was running pretty consistent today.

From runningafterbabies on Mon, Feb 22, 2010 at 18:01:18 from 67.177.9.74

I'm confused. Is it NO REFINED SUGAR or NO SWEETS? I thought you could've gotten away with pure maple syrup.

From runningafterbabies on Mon, Feb 22, 2010 at 18:01:56 from 67.177.9.74

Oh, and nice even splits! Pretty impressive.

From Burt on Mon, Feb 22, 2010 at 18:11:17 from 206.19.214.144

I'm leaving syrup out because of the movie Elf.

From Rhett on Mon, Feb 22, 2010 at 18:58:57 from 74.32.219.217

BTW - very nice 10 miler!

From Little Engine That Could on Wed, Feb 24, 2010 at 13:18:45 from 129.54.8.45

mmmmmm, sweets! After reading this I had to make a trip to the office "goodie" bowl. Today they had the bite size chocolate bars. I ate one in your honor. :)

From Burt on Wed, Feb 24, 2010 at 13:45:41 from 206.19.214.144

Lyman - 3 years ago I went on a strict diet and no sugar was easy. Now that I'm not an as of strict of a diet, it's so much harder.

LETC - I've got Almond Joy bars stashed away for next week. Thanks for the ahem, encouragement. LOL!

From missy on Sun, Feb 28, 2010 at 00:20:06 from 67.40.115.3

Syrup is nasty stuff anyhow...Banana is the way to go! With some pecans..With maybe a lil tablespoon of Sugarfree syrup for juiciness! Or, better yet, take some frozen bluberries and defrost them in the Mircowave..use that as syrup! :D YumYUMyum
