I wanted to get some fast miles in this morning, but not too fast and not too many.  I have the Open Mile tomorrow.  I hope I can break 6 minutes or come close.

Time - 14:33 (avg. pace 7:17)

Splits - 7:29, 7:04

Day 78 P90X - Chest, Shoulers, & Triceps/Ab Ripper X - This is a tough workout.  Maybe because you only do it 5 times throughout the entire 90 days, and your body doesn't adjust to it.  I don't have to do it anymore, and I won't miss it.  I made sure to push it harder than last time.  And I took it up a notch with Ab Ripper X by doing all my Leg Climbers without arms.  Just straight up and touch my toes.  There is a six pack underneath a couple of layers of fat in there somewhere.

On the serious side, though. The last time I ran the Open Mile I got a 6:13 per Garmin and 6:24 official. That means I must not have been hugging the corners good. That kind of worries me because I'm not aggressive enough to cut people off and take the inside lane. I ran a 6:15 last week per Garmin, so I know the same speed is there. And I hope running with fast people on a nice surface can pull me through. I just need to give it my all.

Sounds like fun. Show no mercy, and push over anyone in the left lane standing between you and 5:59.

I think you should change your name to Burtie, then all the names of the people in the hot discussions section would (phonetically) end with ie!
