I did a tempo run this morning.  At least, that's what I think it was.  I'm not too sure on all these fancy workout names.  I did one mile easy, then one mile as hard as I could, then another 1.1 easy.

Total time - 24:51 (avg. pace 8:01) (max 5:39)

Splits -

1 mile - 8:34

2 mile - 6:35

3 mile - 8:56

0.1 mile - 46 sec (7:55 avg.)

Temp - 88

I think I'll call you flash now. You are too fast for me. 6:35? wow. Great workout!

From Burt on Thu, Jul 16, 2009 at 12:31:26 from 68.76.197.194

With the tiny shorts I had to wear this morning, that may be more appropriate than you know.

What? Did somebody say something?

From Nevels on Thu, Jul 16, 2009 at 12:38:43 from 131.204.15.93

I have shorts like that, but usually people don't call (or is it accuse...?) me flash until I start stretching...

ha ha ha! You wish!

From Metcalf Running on Thu, Jul 16, 2009 at 12:57:49 from 207.225.192.66

From Mike Warren on Thu, Jul 16, 2009 at 15:43:03 from 207.50.149.221

A Clydesdale with some serious gitty up! Pretty sweet, I know the pain of running around that 200 lb mark. Very nice job.

From RivertonPaul on Thu, Jul 16, 2009 at 16:44:34 from 67.42.27.114

From marion on Thu, Jul 16, 2009 at 19:47:41 from 71.213.106.139

Nice run :) I am lost with the fancy work out names too. Nice speed :)

From montelepsy on Fri, Jul 17, 2009 at 02:08:04 from 64.203.113.50

I bet if you used Nair you would have shaved a few miliseconds off mile 2.

From Burt on Fri, Jul 17, 2009 at 02:39:58 from 98.167.151.26

Mike, you always say the darnedest things.

Oh how I've missed you.

From sam Dean-Howard on Fri, Jul 17, 2009 at 10:06:09 from 90.195.99.213

From Merri on Fri, Jul 17, 2009 at 11:01:25 from 67.104.0.92

I know don't you hate the fancy running terms? tempo, fartleks, fat miles, threshold, flatulence...

From seeaprilrun on Fri, Jul 17, 2009 at 12:26:18 from 68.102.144.140

Nice 6:35 mile! I personally have a hard time saying "fartlek" with a straight face...

From RivertonPaul on Fri, Jul 17, 2009 at 12:48:42 from 67.42.27.114

Good stuff, Mike.

From sam Dean-Howard on Fri, Jul 17, 2009 at 17:42:18 from 90.201.147.157

hahaha, fartlek, one of my favourite running sessions, sorry for seeming arrogant! It was in jest :-O

but its good to give a running session a term like boinking ! !!

From sam Dean-Howard on Sat, Jul 18, 2009 at 12:36:02 from 90.201.147.157

Burt Have you run today or raced?????? Victoria said she was supporting you today on facebook ??

From Burt on Sat, Jul 18, 2009 at 13:29:25 from 98.167.151.26

Sam - I didn't decide to race until Thursday night. That's why I didn't say anything. And I wasn't really training for a 5k, so it wasn't a PR. The reports coming. Just have patience.
