A nice little run with my Vegas Ragnar Team this morning.  We just went around a city block, not quite 4 miles.  I wore my new shoes for the first time today.  I finally cashed in on that gift certificate.  I wanted to get the most bang for my buck so I went with the Asics Gel 3030.  I saw others that I liked better, but then I would see that they were on sale for $80 and thought, "No way!  I gotta get my $140 out of this thing!"  But they feel real good.  So, no buyer's remorse.

Time - 38:53 (avg. pace 9:56)

Splits - 9:41, 10:00, 10:04, 9:09

Temp - 95°

Can I call it buyer's remorse if I didn't really buy them?

Why not take a cruise?

From Burt on Tue, Jul 19, 2011 at 12:49:54 from 206.19.214.144

Oh, I saw your little take a cruise comments on Facebook yesterday. And I ignored them. Hmmph!

I am sending you a free walmart gift card.

From rAtTLeTrAp on Tue, Jul 19, 2011 at 13:00:13 from 75.244.37.253

Way to stick it to the shoe man!

From Burt on Tue, Jul 19, 2011 at 13:04:38 from 206.19.214.144

Merri - I hate to look a gift horse in the butt, mouth I don't shop at Walmart. They're too 'pro gay rights" and therefore sympathetic to terrorism.

Trap - Maybe I should have just got two pairs of shoes. I'm so stupid!

From Leandra on Tue, Jul 19, 2011 at 13:27:02 from 67.214.251.82

free shoer's remorse, I see.

From RAD on Tue, Jul 19, 2011 at 13:39:12 from 76.27.16.189

Love me some new shoes - even better when they're free!!!

From GoBeth on Tue, Jul 19, 2011 at 13:46:18 from 71.201.21.192

You're right- our runs do sound the same for today! Our splits were about the same, too. I did a heck of a lot of walk breaks, which was good practice for me. I am VERY ready for the fall.

From Burt on Tue, Jul 19, 2011 at 15:28:20 from 206.19.214.144

Lani banani - If I don't like them I'll take them back. 'I paid good free shoers for these, and I expect quality!"

RAD - Do you like red shoes? Cuz mine are red. Mostly white, but flame red trim.

Beth - I was running with my team so I couldn't let them walk. Listen to my whip crack - kerrr-rackkkk!

I guess I will comment here since your other entry is not yet ready for #300.

Won't shop at pro-gay rights walmart, but will choose expensive "free" shoes with flames on them? Sounds like you're confused/conflicted.

Back to running can be tough & sweaty, but so are other things worth working hard for.

From rAtTLeTrAp on Tue, Jul 19, 2011 at 23:06:17 from 75.244.109.95

Um, what's gay about flames?

From Burt on Wed, Jul 20, 2011 at 00:17:17 from 72.223.88.109

Chris - you're so punny.

April - that's so kind of you.

QP - If it's not worth sweating for, it's not worth having.

Trap - You tell her!
