2 miles this morning.  8:44 and 8:24.  My back was huring so I stretched good afterwards.  Yesterday Emily fell off (or was dropped off) the bed.    We took her to urgent care because she wouldn't put any weight on her left foot.  On the way there I saw a couple power walking down the road.  The guy had on a Havasu Half T-shirt.  I rolled the window down and yelled at him.  "I have that same shirt!"  I told him a ran it last year but not this year.  He said he ran it both years.  My wife laughed at me.

Rattletrap just got back from a trip to Mexico.  Within six hours of coming home he was off and running the Ragnar Northwest Passge relay.  How does he do it?  It's almost as if he's receiving divine help.  Or something.

Day 22 P90X - Yoga X

I felt so much better today than the last time I did yoga.  I felt more flexible, and I was able to hold the balance postures longer.  You might not believe this KP, but I can touch my toes.

i don't want to dethrone you. really. take that down!

sorry about emily's fall. i hope she is okay. and it sounds like you shouldn't have said anything to the power walker. he totally one-upped you by running it both years.

Your back was huring? Mine hurs every once in a while to.

LOL allie! Thanks. I swear some people truly have OCD on this blog. You know what I'm talking about. And as for taking that down, nobody reads my blog anyway.

Oh did you notice that I joined Jimmy Fallon haters and Oprah haters groups on FB? LOL!

So it was you!

I just so happened to be running along the other side of the road with my video camera rolling and I filmed Burt in action:

From RAD on Mon, Jul 26, 2010 at 13:42:53 from 67.172.229.125

lol!! Chris, that is AWESOME!

Burt, aren't we runners a little crazy? We see someone with a race shirt we have and all of a sudden we can be best friends! Kind of like all of us 'strangers' on the blog :)

Can't take the pressure of being on top of the Hot Discussion list?

From Little Engine That Could on Mon, Jul 26, 2010 at 15:13:22 from 68.98.198.29

I hope Emily's foot is feeling better.

I agree about the "instant friends" a race shirt can bring. Thanks to a Frederick Marathon shirt I had company during most of the breast cancer half marathon. Got to love that!

Hey, I read your blog, and, yep, just went and made a post to Allie's blog!! Hope your little girl is okay, Burt.

From Burt on Mon, Jul 26, 2010 at 15:59:48 from 206.19.214.144

Argh Chris! I can't watch Youtube at work!

RAD - It's not uncommon to see someone wearing a Pat Tillman's Run shirt or even a Ragnar shirt. But a Havasu Half from someone that probably lives with a mile radius of me? I had to say something.

Chad - there's a lot of pressure being the #1. I just can't handle it much longer. Lindsay Lohan held her own for a while, but we see what happened to her.

Deborah - They took X-rays and didn't see any breaks. It must be a sprain.

Adele - Thanks for supporting allie. She's the best.

Burt, Hey, Is that p-90x good at building muscle? Because now, I could definitely use something to put some meat on these bones!

From Burt on Mon, Jul 26, 2010 at 16:11:07 from 206.19.214.144

Steve - I think it is. I've been gaining weight since starting it. Part of that's because I'm not following the recommended diet (but I do intend to change that today. Well, I'm starting another kind of diet, but a diet nonetheless.) And part of it, I keep telling myself, is due to the added muscle I've been building. There are some different programs with P90X that you can follow if you want to build muscle or if you want to stay lean. I'm doing classic P90X (not lean), but I'm going to try and up my running miles so that I don't get all beefy.

From Toby on Mon, Jul 26, 2010 at 21:59:28 from 216.194.124.37

Sorry to hear about Emily. It is never fun to have an injured kid!

From rAtTLeTrAp on Mon, Jul 26, 2010 at 22:54:57 from 76.121.76.165

I hope Emily is feeling better. Only you would slow down to talk about running with a stranger while taking your daughter to the doctor... too funny! I'm waiting to be allie's number 51.

From Burt on Mon, Jul 26, 2010 at 23:39:32 from 68.225.214.248

Toby - She has such a high tolerance for pain. She hasn't gotten off the couch all day, but she acts as happy as ever.

RT - It wasn't like it was an emergency or anything. :P

Chris - I finally got to watch the video. I've seen that one. The power walker's name is Kirby Heyborne. He's a prominent Mormon actor. Pretty much all the Mormon movies out there have him in it. My favorite of his is Sons of Provo. He also made a movie with Nan's sister in it called the Pirates of the Great Salt Lake. It was pretty terrible. Later this week I'll post a beer commercial he was in. For now I need to post the picture I took of Rattletrap.

From Burt on Tue, Jul 27, 2010 at 03:03:33 from 68.225.214.248

Nice job on the 51 'trap. And do come back and check out your picture.

From ChrisM on Tue, Jul 27, 2010 at 05:12:36 from 130.88.123.4

I fail to believe any movie with Nan's sistter in can be anything but SUPER AMAZING! LOL!

The picture is cool! But you could have changed 630 to 666??

From Rhett on Tue, Jul 27, 2010 at 17:36:33 from 74.32.211.9

I think more people need to have a Havasu Half shirt. Mark you calanders for next April and you too can have one.

From steve ash on Tue, Jul 27, 2010 at 18:37:56 from 98.202.75.78

I think I will look into this program some more.. The reason why I asked you about this is not only because I saw it on a infomercial the other night but because you and others seem to be really convinced that this is a good workout. Thanks..

From rAtTLeTrAp on Tue, Jul 27, 2010 at 19:33:46 from 72.102.172.157

I keep away from anything sold on infomercials, unless of course Chuck Norris is endorsing it... 'cause who would argue with a red headed ninja?

From Burt on Wed, Jul 28, 2010 at 03:01:37 from 68.225.214.248

Party at Rhett's house in April!

Steve - You're right. Quite a few bloggers do it or at least do some of the workout videos on occasion. It really works the muscles you don't use if you're just running. And once you've made those muscles stronger, your body as a whole becomes stronger, and you get faster.

RT - my wife just died when she read your comment. Not literally. Chuck Norris didn't annihilate her or anything.
