3 easy miles practicing my poise and posture after last night's plyometrics.  I'm starting to fall in love again with my legs.

Time - 26:09 (avg. pace 8:43)

Splits - 8:47, 8:47, 8:35

I forgot to mention I almost got hit by a car today.  Maybe a poor choice to wear an all gray outfit at dawn on a cloudy day.

hmmmm ... you must have looked like one of the grey rainclouds that just came into town ;-). Seriously, be careful Burt. We need you.

Oh Race Day Face, Race Day Face

by Burt Ba BA

Burt, learned the hard way, always stay calm, do not think about a race, splits, avg pace, etc. Just run hard as you think you can and hold that pace for the race. I was the same as you, too much thinking.

Bonnie - that's the sweetest thing anyone's ever said to me. Before that it was Paul calling me a stud.

Brent - I expect to see you on American Idol next season.

ha ha falling in love w/ your legs eh? :)

From TBarlow on Wed, Feb 03, 2010 at 21:53:14 from 216.194.124.36

Are you doing Nair for those legs? :) (Remember those 80's Nair commercials?)

From Burt on Wed, Feb 03, 2010 at 22:03:49 from 98.177.216.165

Merri - is that so wrong?

Toby - Oh yeah. I remember those. I'm surprised RivertonPaul doesn't have the YouTube links for those on his blog. However, the hairiness adds to their appeal.

Good run Burt! Don't you mean a car almost got hit by you! haha

From Burt on Thu, Feb 04, 2010 at 11:35:45 from 206.19.214.144

Chris - you and your British spelling of the word color...lol!

Vinh - you should have seen how apologetic the lady was. I just gave her the evil eye.

Nice job, Burt. I like to run at 10-11pm in all black with just my face showing. Sometimes I'll be nice and not wear my black gloves. I figure if the cars can't see the reflective properties of my shoes then they deserve to be hit! :-)

From Burt on Thu, Feb 04, 2010 at 18:45:55 from 206.19.214.144

or the reflectiveness of your bald n' spicy head.

From baldnspicy on Thu, Feb 04, 2010 at 19:02:34 from 72.95.175.57

It's only reflective on full-moon nights, Burt. When the sun's out, it's covered by a doorag, so as to avoid scalp burn, which is almost as annoying as nipple chaffing! Plus, my skull and crossbones doorags combined with the goatee & sunglasses tend to scare off most people...parents with their children panic as I get near. I think of it as a public service, though. Parents should be watching their children more closely anyways, not just when some scary looking runner approaches. Besides, I run so "fast" that it gives them plenty of time to find them and get a hand on them before I even become a real threat. Again, I'm a nice guy. haha
