No running today.  Resting a little.  I really don't feel like I have the mileage base to run every single day.  I think different body parts would start to rebel.  3-4 times a week will be my goal for now.

Edit:  Not as much sleep as I would have liked.

Sasha's advice would be to run 6 days a week without fail. Run just enough that you could turn around and run the same distance the next day without being sore. Make sure you get your proper sleep for your body to recover. Take it for what it's worth.

Did those fires die down yet?

Good advice, Burt. I felt pretty good yesterday and likely could have gotten out for a run.

I've thought about doing my weight training on the off days. Of course, this may affect my running but I hope to strike a balance between the two (I.e., improve in both). Particularly want to avoid overtraining on the lifting side of things.

There's still smoke in the air, but I can't see the flames from my house anymore. I'm thinking that a lot of the houses are out of danger now unless something kicks up again. Not sure how much has officially been contained though.
