| | AM: small loop through Central Park. Tons of runners out this morning. Also a cool 4 mile race going on put on by NYRR. Really cool event. It was sold out I was able to take it in and run part of it on my run. Looked like a great event. Enjoyed the sun this morning. No watch.

| | AM: Another beautiful day in NYC. Hotel was in Times Square last night off 37th and 8Ave so ran to Central Park and did the big loop and back to the hotel. Felt good but still tired after a week. This trip has probably exhausted more since I've walked all over. Ran 5 miles of this run with a guy from Vienna, Austria. Good TriAthelete. It was fun to have a running partner for most the run. We chatted the whole time and just a nice dude. Three runs through Central Park. Loved it. 7:40 AP

Provo City 5K (3.107 Miles) 00:18:59, Place overall: 9, Place in age division: 1 | | 10 days off Boston. I knew the hurt was gonna be fun. I feel recovered from the marathon but my legs and body feel really heavy and tired still so I guess I'm just recovered but fat. I'll not eat as big a breakfast as Alli described in her report today. She and Bill warmed up with me on a little out and back running mile one of the course. Right hammy is still messed up but otherwise the twinges felt fine. I wanted to go out at 5:45 pace but my first mile was 5:55. It felt like 5:40 to me which meant I was in trouble. Running through the half marathoners was awesome. I'm still riding a high from the Boston emotions so it was cool to see how many runners were out just trying. I admire this about running. Anyone can come out and make it happen. That was not going to be me time wise today. By mile two I saw a 5:59 and I knew at this point I was done. No has in the tank and mentally felt unwilling. I just put in the brakes and cruised in the last part. I ran a 6:25 mile 3 with a 39 sec .10. Nothing fast about this race at all for me. I'm glad I came out and did what I will call the traditional 5K after a marathon. Great to see so many goo runners and people at the event today. I love the race atmosphere. I am enjoying the year so far. Excited to train hard now. Been a fun recovery the past 10 days. Congrats to everyone today. So many fast times and really great performances. MIH
