Perfect temps tonight, a little rain yesterday made the trails mmm, mmm good!   Great run up Wheeler/East F/Green Pond/ added in the Cold Water overlook/down Maples and Icebox.

First hard run since the Loco over a week ago. A little rest last week got the wheels spin'en good.  Best times from Wheeler gate to the Art Nord gate (16:30) Bench at Middle/East fork split (41:55) School Hill (1:01).  Kept it right around a 7 minute or under pace for the 4 miles from the top of the Overlook to Icebox, at that point it was just a little too dark to keep up the pace.  Felt easy tonight, blame it on freshish legs and cooler temps. Love runs like that.

17.28 miles, 2810 vert, 2:29,  (8:39 average pace)

SWeet!! That's crusin up to the Middle East fork Split...You talking the middle hitting the Green pond trail?? That's middle coming off of Art Nord right?...

Wow, that is a really good pace for that kind of elevation gain. Nice work!

Thanks Scott, it felt good, not too much effort.

Oreo, not totally sure what you mean, but my route is up Wheeler to Art Nord, across the road and up E. Fork, passing the split to middle fork, (not going downhill at bench and signs) and continuing up and over Snowbasin road to Green Pond trail head. Up green pond trail to the split (hard left at swithch back or straight ahead) I take the straight ahead trail (more rocky = fewer bikes) stay on that unitl it pops out at the end of Penny Lane, right in the middle of school hill at Snowbasin (where the half pipe was). Down past Little Cat, staying left at Lodge and Service sheds, across far west side of the parking lot to Maples gate, down dirt road and then all the way up to the end of the Cold Water overlook trail, back down cold water/maples/ice box/wheelers. Whew! sorry so long, but thats the whole banana. Usually eliminate the Cold Water Overlook out-n-back section and drop straight down Maples/IB/Wheelers for a perfect 13.1.

Perfect - that's what I was looking for... I went up East fork from art nord...So from East fork at the road it about 2.75 to the split - right? Sounds fun might try that loop soon!!
