  • 5 easy elliptical miles (avg HR 145)

Took it easy today (against my Saturday long-run desires) because I know I'm on the verge of doing too much this week achilles-wise.  And just to make sure I kept it on the down-low, I wore full-length pants.  Problem solved. ;)

P.S. Please enjoy your long runs for me today, k?  I'm totally being serious.  It is such a huge blessing to be able to run long and free!  I know sometimes it's tiring and sometimes the long miles day in and day out get old and you may get sick of the sacrifices you have to make (sleep, time with family, etc.), but you are a better person because of it.  This world needs healthy, happy people!  Have fun! :)

Smart girl!!!! :)

Although today was dark, gloomy, windy and rainy -- you are right ... we are lucky to be runners! :)

We need to do lunch soon!

Have a wonderful weekend!!! :) :) :)

I made sure I enjoyed my run today, just for you! Way to be smart and take it easy. You will be running again soon!

Teena - we need to do a lunch to celebrate your acceptance, my slow return to running, and Matt's awesome consistency! :)

Matt - I'm so glad you enjoyed it for me! It makes the waiting easier.

You're BACK!!! YAY! :)

NICE work on the elliptical! Very smart and patient! Love your perspective!

Did I hear someone say LUNCH??? :)

From glidergirl on Sun, Feb 20, 2011 at 01:24:40 from 155.100.9.11

Thanks Smooth! Yes, we really should do lunch. When can everyone do it? I'm mostly only free on Thursday or Fridays for lunch, would that work for you guys? And if possible, I would need it as close to the U as possible or 21st South or 4th South (since they have good bus access).

I definitely did enjoy my Saturday run, and I was actually thinking about you too! I got my first run in with Toby since her injury and I was thinking about how I'd love to run with you when you get up to it! So, see - my thoughts were with you today on my run!

I'm glad you listened to your body and took it easy, I know it's not easy, but you won't regret it! Nice job on the x-training.

I'd also love to invite myself along for lunch, but I'm clear on the other side of the valley...like exact opposite! So, depending on time I may or may not be able to make it - but maybe that is good since I'm inviting myself along anyway :)

Oh, thanks Rachel! I'm glad you had a good time. Yes, we should run sometime. Of course you're invited to lunch, I figured it would be a "chumps" thing for sure. As soon as Teena feels better that is. :)
