Knee is doing better, but running still bothers it a little.  Steps and squats don't bother it.  Today's mini run felt very uncordinated and ploppish.  The body is changing already!  But that's OK, I don't mind the sacrifice. :)  I really miss my normal high-mileage running days, but I'll have lots of fun with running later on when I'm not actively growing a human.

You have a great attitude and that is half the fight! "To every thing, there is a season..." Apparently, KristyAnn gained 70 lbs when she was pregnant with Carissa! Holy Moly!. 70 lbs is a killer to running any PRs! Haha. Keep up the good work!

Oh, poor KristyAnn!! It's probably because she was so little Carissa was like "eat more Mom! I can't grow in these conditions!" A definite PR killer...just the weight I've gained so far is making my knees and ankles cringe. Can't wait till after to fly down the canyon in a half marathon...

PS - just looked at your run yesterday on garminconnect. What a great course! I even did the player on that one and it looked fun. I did part of that same course sometimes and loved it. Good speeds even with all the hills.

I guess it was 50 lbs, not 70. But still....

Carissa has been doing her clinicals for the CNA in your scrubs. She loves them and says they are so cute. Thanks again. She said tonight, "I love doing CNA stuff. I even had to clean up some guy that had an accident in his briefs. But I still love it." That is so nice to hear. Maybe nursing will be her thing after all.

I'm so glad to hear she's enjoying it. when KristyAnn told me she was doing clinicals as a CNA, I got a little worried that it would turn her off because that happened to me. -I was working as a CNA clear back in 2004 and was doing pre-req's for nursing school, but I hated the work so bad that I stopped everything and changed my mind. Luckily through the constant proddings of both my mom and the Spirit, I tried it again. I'm at work right now and have honestly never been happier. There are stressful times as a nurse, but overall it was the best decision I could have made. Especially working here. The NICU is by far the best!
