PM - 14 miles on the treadmill

AM - recovery effort 5k with Finn in a cold light rain before work this morning.

AM - 5 with Finn in the rain again.  Little warmer today.  

PM - lunchtime - workout.   2 mile warm up on the treadmill, then switch to the manual curved treadmill and attempted to do 15 x 40 seconds on and 20 seconds off - at anaerobic effort.  Then about 2.5 miles cool down on the normal treadmill.   The machine was a little tricky to use.  It has some settings to change the resistance, but I could not seem to find one that was just right.  Too little resistance and it felt out of control - too heavy and it would not allow for a normal gait.  Also, if one overstrides - the machine accelerates more quickly than is anticipated.  But all in all, it was a good effort regardless of how it worked.  Something different to add to the mix in any event.

AM - heavy thunderstorms kept me inside on the treadmill for a morning shake-out, much to Finn's disappointment.   

PM - lunchtime - workout on the treadmill.  1 mile warm up then 5 miles at MP - no cool down.  Really was feeling the flow - pace was around 6:40-6:45 for most of the tempo piece.   Could have gone longer if I had more time.
