AM - so I did the virtual Boston Marathon on my treadmill this morning.  The rules of the event allow for running anywhere including a treadmill.  With as warm as it has been here and the challenge with finding an outdoor route with water etc. I opted for the indoor run.   I was a little concerned about the new gadget I attached to my treadmill to assure accuracy would fail or disconnect but it worked out well.

I watched the movie Chariots of Fire and the beginning of Hoosiers and because I forgot to buy any Gatorade and didn't remember to bring my gels to the exercise room - I basically survived on 4 bottles of water.  Turned the AC down to 66 and had a floor fan and ceiling fan going.

My heart rate was good until around the last 10k and the last few miles were mentally and physically more challenging than I had expected - but I got it done.  I locked in on 7:23 pace around the third or fourth mile and left it there until I finished.

I have done a number of 20 mile runs on treadmills over the years but I think this is the longest distance I have ever done on one.   Overall I was pleased.  The last few miles were surprisingly harder than I expected but I am glad I chose to do it this way.
