PM - 6 miles in the afternoon heat - finished up just before the Euros final began.  Had to awaken quite early this morning to take daughter Delaney to the airport (4 am wake up call) to send her to North Carolina for a distance running camp at Brevard.  She was quite excited to go; had a great time there last year.  Wish they had those camps (or wish I had known about them) when I was in high school.  A bit knackered today after the run possibly from the 20 yesterday or maybe from the lack of a solid nights sleep.

Ho ho, what a display of how to play the beautiful game. Very special.

Get some sleep Bret - that 20 yesterday, the early start and the heat will have taken it out of you. Keep plugging away this week. These 100 mile weeks will count when it matters. Enjoyed your write up on the Paris marathon - I watched it on the computer - fast up front.

Bam - indeed it was a great performance by Spain - but an almost somewhat disappointing final where Italy was unfortunately left with 10 men to limp through the last 30 mins. I was perhaps hoping for a better / closer game. Spain showed how dominant they really are.

I decided to take your advice and got to bed early yesterday, missing my second run in favor of more rest as a better in the long run for my training. Of course that always throws things a bit off for me, as my body is accustomed to having 2 runs on most days...hopefully you are enjoying your time in Portugal by now.
