AM - cool 6 miles on the reverse Dinsmore / North Valley loop.

Got a notification on Strava yesteday that I had been "dethroned" of my course record for a segment I did dating back to 2012.   I had to look it up on this blog to know what I had done that day.   It was in Moundsville WV July 2012.  My second run of the day, that was an unplanned progression run on a trail that goes around the perimeter of some ball fields.   This was the summer I had been running 100 mile weeks.   Evidently I felt good and started running some quick miles on this 1.25 mile loop to where the last mile was 6:08.

I was not aware that I had the segment record, nor do I really care; but it took 8 years?? for someone on Strava to run faster than me.  Strange.   Also, slightly depressing that at my age I will likely not see an impromptu progression run at that pace or quality again - nor the same volume of miles I was logging at the time.  At the same time, kinda cool to look back at things from time to time.  The guy who beat my record turns out to be the nextdoor neighbor of one of my nieces on Tracy's side of the family.
