AM - 6.5 miles easy.  Mentally fatigued - physically I seem to be fine - no injuries, pain or soreness.

PM - 8 miles at lunchtime with Richie.  Had a nice run which started out very sauna-like as it had just rained and then the sun had come out.   Around 4.5 miles into the run the clouds opened up a pretty heavy and cold rain with some lightning - but it was very refreshing and made for a good run.  Wasn't expecting to run with Richie today - so that was helpful and a nice surprise that he showed up wanting to run.  Also heard from Ingrid from the blog - to check-in on me which was encouraging.  Very nice to have the support just when you need it.

Oh -  And perhaps the best thing to come out of the Olympics is the "Mo Farah Running Away From Things" Tumblr. Check it out:

As you are mentally fatigued, I'll keep this simple:)

Keep an eye on your diet/nutrition: sometimes when you're feeling zapped it can be down to what you're putting in your mush or not getting enough sleep, especially with the long runs and miles. Complex carbs and water and beautiful afternoon naps. I'm sure you know this but you just might be too mentally fatigued to realise.

I doubt you can manage the naps - don't worry, I'll take care of that one for you:)

It could be diet. Or it could be running 100 plus now every week for many weeks plus having a job and family obligations.

The job or the family needs to go.

Thanks guys - appreciate the feedback. I know that the diet/nutrition suffered a bit this last week or so and I have had insufficient sleep too. I do have a nice couch in my office...just too busy to use it for naps as I have seen them do in Madmen.

Ah, Mad Men!

You'd need to have the scotch/rocks while kicking back on the couch. Two or three more at lunch.

I wonder if they ever measured post lunch productivity?

That is an excellent website! And since its just pictures, it doesn't really waste too much time!
