Ran the Al Lewis 10 Miler with a couple of friends. It was snowy, so we were slipping all over the place. I had to run 13 miles for my long run this week, so we showed up a little early. My one friend had to run 15 miles so when we arrived (we were there before anybody else, even the people putting on the race), he went ran a mile out and a mile back while I waited in the warm car. The snow was coming down good at this point. When he arrived back at the car I joined him as we ran 1.5 miles out and 1.5 miles back. When we came back the tent was set up so we could pick up our timing chips for the race. We went into the car where i was hoping my sweat would dry up. It didnt. So when we started the 10 mile run I froze to death for the first 3 miles. When i finally heated up and got comfortable i was able to run at a decent 7:49 pace which i was pretty happy about. We finished the race and got home, I then went for a 1 mile swim. It felt great on my legs and helped me recover pretty fast. I was excited to get a long run out of the way in a race atmosphere, It makes it more enjoyable.

Good job Brenty! I got to avoid the snow by waiting till Sunday. But you still ran much faster.
