PR's

5K: 21:26 (2005)

4 mile: 28:10 (2005)

10K: 43:33 (2010)

10 mile: 1:13:35 (2009) (1:12:15 split in 1/2 marathon, 2011)

1/2 marathon: 1:34:31 (2011)

marathon: 3:19:15 (2013)

Short-Term Running Goals:

3:20 marathon - Eugene Marathon, April 28, 2013 (can I say I really want a sub 3:20? but I will be happy with 3:20-3:23) -- whoohoo!

Some good intermediate races 15K - 1/2 marathon, to gauge my fitness level (done this, hit a 1:34:35 1/2 marathon in March 2013, on a hilly course)

Going after my 10 mile PR in Fall 2013

Maybe some good 10K races after the infernal Arizona summer is over!

Long-Term Running Goals:

I want to be one of those runners who is still running in their 80s (or 90s?).  You know the ones, who look all grisley and fit?  That is what I would like!  Until then, I just want to work hard and be as fast as I can, for as long as I can.

AM: (8.5, 1:16.54). Ran a 6 mile loop and then put in my orthotics for another 20`.  Did 6 x :30 w/1` recovery.  Nice and chilly today - 38F ... perfect temps for a run.

PM: (3 miles easy) ... probably in the dark and very late.

Have a GREAT day bloggers!

Bonnie, how is the weather? My mom flies in from Phoenix tomorrow. She ALWAYS brings the storms with HER. She doesn't even like the cold. She is a traveling nurse so she stay in AZ for the winter cause' New Bruinswick Cananda is FRIGID. YOU holding steady as always!! GREAT JOB!! AND T-day race planned?

Hi Julie! Here in Tucson is turning cold (I think the low was 33F last night) - it is usually 5+ degrees warmer in Phoenix. I LOVE this weather. I love it down to about 20F ... and then I love my "gear" (from my time in the real winter places ;-)). Your Mom will indeed be bringing a storm with her, it has been cloudy and chilly all day so far -- though it hasn't snowed in the mountains here yet.

No T-day race for me, I am still recovering ... and way too chicken to run a slow race ;-). Maybe in March!

Are you running on Thursday? 5K? GOOD LUCK!!

Melanie and I will decide when we see how this storm affects us-- she wants to run the Draper 10k cause a 5K is just too short. I am not sure about racing in 19 degree weather since it has been 35 to 40 degrees lately. I, like you, don't want a slow race to dampen my spirits : D. So we will probably just run 15 miles.

Alright! way to knock down those miles and get the stomach ready for Thanksgiving dinner. I hope you have a wonderful upcoming Thanksgiving.

I'll let you know about my CBC test privately when I find out.
