4 mile: 28:10 (2005)

10K: 43:33 (2010)

10 mile: 1:13:35 (2009) (1:12:15 split in 1/2 marathon, 2011)

1/2 marathon: 1:34:31 (2011)

marathon: 3:19:15 (2013)

Short-Term Running Goals:

3:20 marathon - Eugene Marathon, April 28, 2013 (can I say I really want a sub 3:20? but I will be happy with 3:20-3:23) -- whoohoo!

Some good intermediate races 15K - 1/2 marathon, to gauge my fitness level (done this, hit a 1:34:35 1/2 marathon in March 2013, on a hilly course)

Going after my 10 mile PR in Fall 2013

Maybe some good 10K races after the infernal Arizona summer is over!

Long-Term Running Goals:

I want to be one of those runners who is still running in their 80s (or 90s?).  You know the ones, who look all grisley and fit?  That is what I would like!  Until then, I just want to work hard and be as fast as I can, for as long as I can.

AM: (14 miles, 1:51:45).  27:32 wu/25:19 cd.  8 mile Steady State run (severe chilly headwind on the backstretch of every one of these 32 laps -- it sucked).

7:32, 7:25, 7:16, 7:18, 7:25, 7:20, 7:19, 7:14.  These were a little faster than I had intended them to be (target was 7:24-7:36), in part it was because there was some type of fitness group on the track and they kept standing in lane 1 while they were getting directions and whatnot.  So miles 3-5 were a game of bob and weave -- I couldn't really get into a groove.  I was really hating the workout about mile 6.  I loved that I was almost done for the last 8 laps!   All and all a littler harder than it was supposed to be, but not too far off.

PM:(4 miles easy).

Have a wonderful day bloggers!

I guess it was nasty track workout day - mine sucked too. Hope the wind dies down for the 4 easy.

WOW! AWESOME track workout with headwind, bob/weave and all! 32 laps!!! You're amazing! Hope you enjoy a calm PM run!

32 laps? What dedication. I don't think people should stand in lane 1.

Sorry about your yucky run Auntie, good job getting out there.

Smooth and Carolyn, 32 laps isnt that crazy? ha ha ha ... well it was actually 34 laps total (counting strides and cool down laps before I ran the long uphill home) - I actually did them in groups of two (in my mind) so I only had to do 4 groups of two. But it was pretty mind numbing for sure -- our friends who were here until yesterday couldn't believe I would do 8 miles on the track. Little did they know that Carolyn can do even more on an indoor track no less. My brain just shuts down completely.

Carolyn, I am pretty sure they shouldn't have stood in lane 1, to their credit they only did it for two laps before they realized. But then they were running and I had go around them a lot (but I don't mind that at all).

wow Bonnie that is a fast steady state run! I am in awe that you were able to do it on a track too with the headwind cutting in and out--just absolutely amazing!
