5K: 21:26 (2005)

4 mile: 28:10 (2005)

10K: 43:33 (2010)

10 mile: 1:13:35 (2009) (1:12:15 split in 1/2 marathon, 2011)

1/2 marathon: 1:34:31 (2011)

marathon: 3:19:15 (2013)

Short-Term Running Goals:

3:20 marathon - Eugene Marathon, April 28, 2013 (can I say I really want a sub 3:20? but I will be happy with 3:20-3:23) -- whoohoo!

Some good intermediate races 15K - 1/2 marathon, to gauge my fitness level (done this, hit a 1:34:35 1/2 marathon in March 2013, on a hilly course)

Going after my 10 mile PR in Fall 2013

Maybe some good 10K races after the infernal Arizona summer is over!

Long-Term Running Goals:

I want to be one of those runners who is still running in their 80s (or 90s?).  You know the ones, who look all grisley and fit?  That is what I would like!  Until then, I just want to work hard and be as fast as I can, for as long as I can.

7+ miles, 1:04:56.  Ran to the top of the mountain on the Yeatman trail.  Pretty morning.  Running off to get ready for class.

Have a great week bloggers!

Up a mountain, eh? Good job!

I hope you didn't have class today.

I've always wanted to mention how much I love your blog picture. I love pictures of runners where both feet are off the ground!

Bonnie - did you pause at the top of the mountain to enjoy the view, self accomplishment, etc. Always nice to take a deep breath and enjoy being alive to run. Looks like you still running very well.

ha ha ha ... Thank you!! I have one from a half marathon like this too -- but it is me sandwiched between two skinny runner "girls" (college age) in their boyshorts and bra tops ... so the feet off the ground factor lost some of its appeal since I look like I am fat and 100 years old ;-).

I have a really cool one of Dean on my dresser -- he is off the ground right after push off (so his front leg is high and moving forward) - it is an awesome picture and shows such incredible form -- it doesn't hurt that is truly a skinny runner guy and looks like he is the same age as the skinny minnies described above ;-).

I love your new picture as well!

Hey Brent!!! Nice to hear from you! since you asked, I actually did stop, and looked at the most incredible view - during my VPB break ;-)

I remember Sammy was always a little more shy than me about VPB breaks. Give Sylvie my best, miss running into you (and running with you).

I like the picture too! Travel safely!
