4 mile: 28:10 (2005)

10K: 43:33 (2010)

10 mile: 1:13:35 (2009) (1:12:15 split in 1/2 marathon, 2011)

1/2 marathon: 1:34:31 (2011)

marathon: 3:19:15 (2013)

Short-Term Running Goals:

3:20 marathon - Eugene Marathon, April 28, 2013 (can I say I really want a sub 3:20? but I will be happy with 3:20-3:23) -- whoohoo!

Some good intermediate races 15K - 1/2 marathon, to gauge my fitness level (done this, hit a 1:34:35 1/2 marathon in March 2013, on a hilly course)

Going after my 10 mile PR in Fall 2013

Maybe some good 10K races after the infernal Arizona summer is over!

Long-Term Running Goals:

I want to be one of those runners who is still running in their 80s (or 90s?).  You know the ones, who look all grisley and fit?  That is what I would like!  Until then, I just want to work hard and be as fast as I can, for as long as I can.

2:02:xx ... first 1/2 was in the 1:04 range, 2nd was 58:xx.  It was HOT (again),  I started at 6:30 and it was already low-to-mid 80's and 95F when I finished.  It was a nice run though, probably a little better than last Sunday, despite the heavy legs (from travel and lack-of-training).

I got to bed late because I was up watching the mens World Championship marathon -- holy cow what a race.   He just opened up a gap at 25K by throwing down a 14:40 5K and never let up!  It really was crazy.  It was 75F with 65% humidity and he just threw down the hammer -- splits below (courtesy of LetsRun.com)

I never thought watching a marathon would be interesting, but I get glued to the TV. I love watching their strategy!

I thought of you this Saturday when my cute niece from AZ came to my son's football game at 10 am. It was close to 80 degrees and she was talking about how cold it was!!!

At first I thought these were YOUR splits. My jaw just about hit the floor!! I guess I should read the full entry before just looking at numbers :)

Nice job on the run and having a finishing push. That is always my weak sauce, finishing strong.

I love to watch marathons as well. My husband thinks watching paint dry is more exciting, but I'm just in awe at watching them run!!
