PR's

5K: 21:26 (2005)

4 mile: 28:10 (2005)

10K: 43:33 (2010)

10 mile: 1:13:35 (2009) (1:12:15 split in 1/2 marathon, 2011)

1/2 marathon: 1:34:31 (2011)

marathon: 3:19:15 (2013)

Short-Term Running Goals:

3:20 marathon - Eugene Marathon, April 28, 2013 (can I say I really want a sub 3:20? but I will be happy with 3:20-3:23) -- whoohoo!

Some good intermediate races 15K - 1/2 marathon, to gauge my fitness level (done this, hit a 1:34:35 1/2 marathon in March 2013, on a hilly course)

Going after my 10 mile PR in Fall 2013

Maybe some good 10K races after the infernal Arizona summer is over!

Long-Term Running Goals:

I want to be one of those runners who is still running in their 80s (or 90s?).  You know the ones, who look all grisley and fit?  That is what I would like!  Until then, I just want to work hard and be as fast as I can, for as long as I can.

1:02:19 (33:03/29:16) Still lots of snow in the forest (and higher elevations).  In town the snow on the road/trail is almost gone ... so it was a muddy run while I was in town and still snowy and even more icy as I got into the mountains.  Perfect temps for running though - 24F and sunny.  It was 9F when I got up, so again, I enjoyed my morning and did not run until nearly 10AM!  I love holidays.

Dean and his son are on their way to the Grand Canyon ... I had to work, but it is fine, I am even hoping I can sneak a nap in there somewhere.

Have a wonderful post-thanksgiving bloggers!

Sounds like a good end to the week. I have to second the late AM run being worth the wait. Enjoy your weekend!

Does sound like perfect weather for running! I love it cold and dry. Hope you got your nap; that is looking very good to me right now.

I too like holiday running that does not have to be at the 5am-ish time frame. Well, still waiting on that nap update! I sure took mine :)

Didn't happen ... still working, but hopefully going to stop soon and meet up with Sam (Dean's son) and Dean for some Diablo Burgers (well, I get grilled cheese, it is very good).

Are you driving back tomorrow or Sunday? Safe travels Dan.

Quit working! :) We are heading back tomorrow. Have to get back for the Ohio State - Michigan game, its a tradition. I hope you enjoy that grilled cheese!
