4 mile: 28:10 (2005)

10K: 43:33 (2010)

10 mile: 1:13:35 (2009) (1:12:15 split in 1/2 marathon, 2011)

1/2 marathon: 1:34:31 (2011)

marathon: 3:19:15 (2013)

Short-Term Running Goals:

3:20 marathon - Eugene Marathon, April 28, 2013 (can I say I really want a sub 3:20? but I will be happy with 3:20-3:23) -- whoohoo!

Some good intermediate races 15K - 1/2 marathon, to gauge my fitness level (done this, hit a 1:34:35 1/2 marathon in March 2013, on a hilly course)

Going after my 10 mile PR in Fall 2013

Maybe some good 10K races after the infernal Arizona summer is over!

Long-Term Running Goals:

I want to be one of those runners who is still running in their 80s (or 90s?).  You know the ones, who look all grisley and fit?  That is what I would like!  Until then, I just want to work hard and be as fast as I can, for as long as I can.

1:04:42.  It was colder this morning, the same temperature (33F) but cloudy so it felt cooler than yesterday - luckily, I was running uphill for the first half of the run so I warmed up pretty quickly.  Felt really good again today ... but I tried to run really easy anyway because I have a hard workout tomorrow that (I hate to second judge my coach) I am not sure I am ready for ... but, you have to start somewhere so I will just do the best I can do.

I hope you are all having a wonderful week so far, the week is going by way too quickly for me ... there just are not enough hours in the day.

I wish there were more hours in the day to. So it is cold in AZ. Are you handling it ok?

Hi Lily, I love the cold (I hate the heat here during the 5 months of summer) and I have all kinds of cold-weather gear (from my 10 years back east and 2 in SLC) so I am doing just fine! The coldest weather I have ever run in was -10 (not with wind chill, it was even colder with wind chill) in Avon, Minnesota (where my brother lives). It was so cold that my eyelids kept getting stuck together -- good times.

I feel for you though, I can understand not being able to tolerate the cold, it is how I feel about the heat.

Have a productive day Lily ;-)

Send some cold weather gear my way :) It was 30 here, which is more than fine. The single digits and below are the hard runs.
