10K: 43:33 (2010)

10 mile: 1:13:35 (2009) (1:12:15 split in 1/2 marathon, 2011)

1/2 marathon: 1:34:31 (2011)

marathon: 3:19:15 (2013)

Short-Term Running Goals:

3:20 marathon - Eugene Marathon, April 28, 2013 (can I say I really want a sub 3:20? but I will be happy with 3:20-3:23) -- whoohoo!

Some good intermediate races 15K - 1/2 marathon, to gauge my fitness level (done this, hit a 1:34:35 1/2 marathon in March 2013, on a hilly course)

Going after my 10 mile PR in Fall 2013

Maybe some good 10K races after the infernal Arizona summer is over!

Long-Term Running Goals:

I want to be one of those runners who is still running in their 80s (or 90s?).  You know the ones, who look all grisley and fit?  That is what I would like!  Until then, I just want to work hard and be as fast as I can, for as long as I can.

1:04:25.  Such a happy day.  I am not exactly pain-free, but it is oh so much better than last weekend.  John found a couple of spots yesterday and I am going back on Saturday (and probably a few more times a few days apart) -- I am feeling much more hopeful that we can clear this up in a couple of weeks.  I will be taking it pretty easy this week, and then we shall see about next week ...

The other happy thing is that it is cooling off here!!  It was only 85F this morning, which is so very nice!!  They are forcasting some 70s in the morning this week -- Yippee!!

Have a great day bloggers!

Where's my update on the 20k National Championships?

From Bonnie on Tue, Sep 07, 2010 at 16:02:51 from 128.196.228.134

Well, I did that on FB, and so did you, and Allie did it here on the blog, so I did not want to be redundant .... EVERYONE knows that NAN is DA BOMB, I mean, really, EVERYONE knows that ;-)

She rocks! Glad the temps are cooling down for you! It is in the 70's for most of the morning here now and LOVELY! I don't miss the heat at all!

happy day! so glad to hear that your leg is feeling better -- sounds like john really knows his stuff.

GO NAN! did someone say that already?

From Bonnie on Tue, Sep 07, 2010 at 18:13:03 from 128.196.228.134

ha ha ha ... GO NAN, where did I hear that before??

April -- yes, I am going to truly love the 70s (when it comes) -- well, not the 1970's that era was the era of horrible clothes and hair, believe me, I know. I am sure that your stick-to-it-dness of running hard this summer will pay dividends for your race.

allie -- I think he does ... and I am extremely grateful! and, I am really grateful that he makes time for me between all the studs that works with ;-). I don't know why, but he really likes Dean and I!

So happy for you! When injured, it is hard to believe we'll ever feel normal again, but you really gotta' love a body that can fix itself.

Good news on the cooler weather, too. Any extra heat, please send it up here - we are all ice cubes now.

Cooler weather.. I know you like that. Now the question... remember when I said cooler weather to run in was better than people throwing money?? What is the Verdict?? :)

"Only 85" does not compute...

I'm so glad you had a good run. :)
