5K: 21:26 (2005)

4 mile: 28:10 (2005)

10K: 43:33 (2010)

10 mile: 1:13:35 (2009) (1:12:15 split in 1/2 marathon, 2011)

1/2 marathon: 1:34:31 (2011)

marathon: 3:19:15 (2013)

Short-Term Running Goals:

3:20 marathon - Eugene Marathon, April 28, 2013 (can I say I really want a sub 3:20? but I will be happy with 3:20-3:23) -- whoohoo!

Some good intermediate races 15K - 1/2 marathon, to gauge my fitness level (done this, hit a 1:34:35 1/2 marathon in March 2013, on a hilly course)

Going after my 10 mile PR in Fall 2013

Maybe some good 10K races after the infernal Arizona summer is over!

Long-Term Running Goals:

I want to be one of those runners who is still running in their 80s (or 90s?).  You know the ones, who look all grisley and fit?  That is what I would like!  Until then, I just want to work hard and be as fast as I can, for as long as I can.

1:04:23.  Recovery run up the mountain ... tons of hunters today ... I did not see them, but I saw their trucks and a hiker (bushwacker) said he came up on some of them and he could see a whole bunch more from their vantage point.  Perfect weather for running, 45F and cloudy.  A big storm is coming though - blizzard conditions up on Mt Lemmon and snow down to 3000ft (our house maybe) ...going to be in the 20s tonight.  I LOVE this stuff (in small doses).

Happy Hump Day bloggers!

What is unnerving is when you can hear their guns.

I hope you were wearing bright colored clothing.

That sounds like quite a storm you've got coming. I think we've got one coming too.

Hi Michelle, they are only allowed to hunt with bows ... so unless they are hunting illegally (which some of them do) we don't hear anything ... actually, I don't think they catch much, they have to go off the trail to hunt and the animals know their way much better than the once/year hunters ;-). Merry Christmas to you!!

Hi CinC - I am sure they can see me before I can see them (since I am watching the ground so I don't fall or trip on the rocks!). I can't wait for the storm ... luckily campus is closed this week so I don't have to go into my office.

Hurray for closed campus! Nice running Bon - I am really impressed with you come back after the injury :)

Now, Allie and I have some bright colored running clothes we would like to give you so you are extra safe!
