5K: 21:26 (2005)

4 mile: 28:10 (2005)

10K: 43:33 (2010)

10 mile: 1:13:35 (2009) (1:12:15 split in 1/2 marathon, 2011)

1/2 marathon: 1:34:31 (2011)

marathon: 3:19:15 (2013)

Short-Term Running Goals:

3:20 marathon - Eugene Marathon, April 28, 2013 (can I say I really want a sub 3:20? but I will be happy with 3:20-3:23) -- whoohoo!

Some good intermediate races 15K - 1/2 marathon, to gauge my fitness level (done this, hit a 1:34:35 1/2 marathon in March 2013, on a hilly course)

Going after my 10 mile PR in Fall 2013

Maybe some good 10K races after the infernal Arizona summer is over!

Long-Term Running Goals:

I want to be one of those runners who is still running in their 80s (or 90s?).  You know the ones, who look all grisley and fit?  That is what I would like!  Until then, I just want to work hard and be as fast as I can, for as long as I can.

1:02:55.  Thank goodness, I feel so much better than yesterday. So much so that apparently I ran this route nearly 2 mins faster than usual.  Tomorrow I have my last super hard workout on the track (I still have 2 MP workouts and one "tune-up" the week of the race).  If I can hold it together one more week I will be ready to go!

I hope you are all having a wonderful post-Christmas week.

Exciting ... errr ... yes, but sort of nerve-wracking too ... I need about 4 more weeks (of course by then I would be so tired-and maybe broken- that I would suck ;-) ).

Yes, you always want more AND less time by the end. So your sciatic/SI pain is ok now? Still going to go in? Jon is so far away, I can't imagine being gainfully employed AND treated by him.

Hi Michelle, it was funny, I had a call in to everyone, and everyone called back so I saw the chiro today (SI is awesome), I have a massage on Saturday and ART on Monday -- I *will* hold these old legs together!!

It would not be far away if you were staying with us for a few weeks ;-). We have a new kitty - who would LOVE the attention of the boys (seriously, she is, in the words of Dean, "a never ending vessel of need/craving of attention".

I had a nightmare two nights ago that after a year in HK Paul transplanted us to Tucson. The Tucson in my dreams was all that was bad about Tucson, failed xeriscaping, dirty, brown, and you weren't in my dream. It was actually horrible. Since I have been uprooted and placed in HK, I want to stay put so we get to experience the upside of HK (in paul's career, the kids education, awesome asia travel). I'm going to email you soon. Have a bit more to say on this.

A great week (and year!) of running. Looking good for Houston!

Hi Jeff! Thank you ... I have to admit to being a little stressed about it right now ;-)
