4 mile: 28:10 (2005)

10K: 43:33 (2010)

10 mile: 1:13:35 (2009) (1:12:15 split in 1/2 marathon, 2011)

1/2 marathon: 1:34:31 (2011)

marathon: 3:19:15 (2013)

Short-Term Running Goals:

3:20 marathon - Eugene Marathon, April 28, 2013 (can I say I really want a sub 3:20? but I will be happy with 3:20-3:23) -- whoohoo!

Some good intermediate races 15K - 1/2 marathon, to gauge my fitness level (done this, hit a 1:34:35 1/2 marathon in March 2013, on a hilly course)

Going after my 10 mile PR in Fall 2013

Maybe some good 10K races after the infernal Arizona summer is over!

Long-Term Running Goals:

I want to be one of those runners who is still running in their 80s (or 90s?).  You know the ones, who look all grisley and fit?  That is what I would like!  Until then, I just want to work hard and be as fast as I can, for as long as I can.

congrats on getting that grant submitted, that was a huge amount of work. sorry about the speeding ticket. was it in your car, or were you just running faster than the speedlimit :-)

I wish that worked every day Tracy, I long for the days when I could sleep for 10-12 hours ;-).

Thanks Scott, these things are tough, thankfully we only have to do them every 5 years or I might have to change careers. The past 6 months have been nightmarish. ha ha ha on the speeding ticket, the thing was that I was speeding (because I was not paying attention - bad me) and then I just goofed up with my insurance card and had not put it in my car, and then (this is a bad one) I have not registered my car. The car registration thing is directly tied to my nightmarish semester as I have to get a smog test and just seriously have not had the 2-3 hours during work hours to get this done. So ... I think they will drop the insurance thing (since I am insured) and make me pay a token amount for expired tags, and I can go to traffic school for the ticket. It will take about 5-8 hours to get it all cleared up ... but hey, when you are used to working 10 hours/day, 7 days/week for as long as I have been, I am swimming in time ;-).

Good luck on getting your reviews done -- the "last" one!! You will still have extended submission for a year right? So you can write 2-3 grants whenever you want this year ;-).

Traffic school? Like you have time for that.
