10K: 43:33 (2010)

10 mile: 1:13:35 (2009) (1:12:15 split in 1/2 marathon, 2011)

1/2 marathon: 1:34:31 (2011)

marathon: 3:19:15 (2013)

Short-Term Running Goals:

3:20 marathon - Eugene Marathon, April 28, 2013 (can I say I really want a sub 3:20? but I will be happy with 3:20-3:23) -- whoohoo!

Some good intermediate races 15K - 1/2 marathon, to gauge my fitness level (done this, hit a 1:34:35 1/2 marathon in March 2013, on a hilly course)

Going after my 10 mile PR in Fall 2013

Maybe some good 10K races after the infernal Arizona summer is over!

Long-Term Running Goals:

I want to be one of those runners who is still running in their 80s (or 90s?).  You know the ones, who look all grisley and fit?  That is what I would like!  Until then, I just want to work hard and be as fast as I can, for as long as I can.

So much for a great day on Tuesday.  I am pretty depressed, well, until I read Kory's blog and then I am grateful. Kory, you are awesome.  But, I can't run right now.  I am still hoping that I can clear this up in a few days so I can start my marathon training in two weeks ... right now I am bummed.  I don't think I can do the elliptical either, but I am going to give it a try tonight and if I can't do that I will spin or find a pool to swim.  I need some exercise, because this lack of exercise is making me really tired.  weird isn't it?

Speaking of weird ... na, I don't have anything, the only thing that popped into my head when I wrote that was, "Burt" ;-) he he he, just kidding.

I hope you are having a wonderful day bloggers, I hope to have something more interesting to write in the near future ;-)

Wow....it's so hard to keep up with everyone on here....I miss checking up on you for awhile and come back to find you are trying to make it through and injury. I tried to read back a bit and see what happened but I didn't find it. All I found was someone who keeps having a good attitude and humor no matter what! Good job! Here's hoping things will soon get better and the marathon training can begin!

You are so sweet Kim! Well, what started as a "tightness" in my calf and hamstring has turned into a "I can't seem to put any weight on my leg without pain" (well, not that bad - I am 95% sure it is not a stress fracture, but it is probably a bad calf strain). I am hopeful that I can get better in time for marathon training -- but I need to figure out what I need to change to keep it from happening again!! Meanwhile, I am just writing a boring mid-week blog and enjoying getting messages from you ;-).

Bon I feel for you, and I totally know what you mean about feeling tired because you did NOT run or exercise like you wanted... can be depressing so take that opportunity to eat some good food ;)

It is strange how not running makes you tired. I'm experiencing that.

I hope that your recovery goes well and that you're all better soon.

So sorry you can't run, Bonnie! Dang. I know what you mean, the less you exercise the more tired you are. Go figure. Sounds kind of like what I went through during the winter with my leg/knee/hamstring. Do whatever you can to make it better!

Oh dang Bonnie, I hope this clears up quickly. I always call it the "evilliptical" but I like FE! Hope I read some good news in your next post.
