5K: 21:26 (2005)

4 mile: 28:10 (2005)

10K: 43:33 (2010)

10 mile: 1:13:35 (2009) (1:12:15 split in 1/2 marathon, 2011)

1/2 marathon: 1:34:31 (2011)

marathon: 3:19:15 (2013)

Short-Term Running Goals:

3:20 marathon - Eugene Marathon, April 28, 2013 (can I say I really want a sub 3:20? but I will be happy with 3:20-3:23) -- whoohoo!

Some good intermediate races 15K - 1/2 marathon, to gauge my fitness level (done this, hit a 1:34:35 1/2 marathon in March 2013, on a hilly course)

Going after my 10 mile PR in Fall 2013

Maybe some good 10K races after the infernal Arizona summer is over!

Long-Term Running Goals:

I want to be one of those runners who is still running in their 80s (or 90s?).  You know the ones, who look all grisley and fit?  That is what I would like!  Until then, I just want to work hard and be as fast as I can, for as long as I can.

1:00 - run on the I-66 trail to Mt. Vernon trail + 11 x 1` w/ 1` recovery.  It was cold and wet (35F + rain), very slippery on parts of trail that ran on bridges.  I had wanted to do 12, but  I had a very long day Tuesday -- my meeting went from very early in the morning until very late at night (grant reviews) ... and my stomach was still queasy, so I did not eat much.  I had a power bar before I went to bed last night, and then another this morning ... and I felt much better this morning, I am pretty short on calories (and maybe still a little dehydrated).

Things are better here ... I hope all you bloggers are doing well.

Power bar for dinner and then one for breakfast...not my idea of great meals. I don't think I could do 7.5 miles on that. Get some agua in you and some real food! BTW: where are you right now you traveling girl?

Right this minute I am in Kensington MD, a suburb of DC (staying with friends) - yesterday (and this morning) I was in Arlington, VA (across the Potomic from DC) ... sigh. The work part was tough, but now I get to visit with my friends (I used to live here and have many friends in the area).

In about 10 mins I will be putting together a car model that I brought for Jeremy, one of my closest 8 year old friends ;-)

Hope you are doing well!!

Aww, Bonnie! I hope you're feeling better after that food poisoning. Must be the smoothie from the airport that did you in :(. In these situations, maybe Powerbar is not so bad, if you chase it down with water. At least it's easily digestible carbs! I hope your grant reviews went well - isn't that a necessary evil of academia?

Hope you feel better soon....no fun.

Thanks Sarah, I am doing better, though it has taken a little more out of me than I had hoped - It could be ever so much worse so I am looking at the bright side. Did Benjamin tell you that I said "hi" last Saturday?

Maria, How are you? Yes, grant reviews are one of the many necessary evils of academia ;-) ... I have another phone review this coming week, and then I am done for another 4 months! Hope you are well ...

Bonnie
