5K: 21:26 (2005)

4 mile: 28:10 (2005)

10K: 43:33 (2010)

10 mile: 1:13:35 (2009) (1:12:15 split in 1/2 marathon, 2011)

1/2 marathon: 1:34:31 (2011)

marathon: 3:19:15 (2013)

Short-Term Running Goals:

3:20 marathon - Eugene Marathon, April 28, 2013 (can I say I really want a sub 3:20? but I will be happy with 3:20-3:23) -- whoohoo!

Some good intermediate races 15K - 1/2 marathon, to gauge my fitness level (done this, hit a 1:34:35 1/2 marathon in March 2013, on a hilly course)

Going after my 10 mile PR in Fall 2013

Maybe some good 10K races after the infernal Arizona summer is over!

Long-Term Running Goals:

I want to be one of those runners who is still running in their 80s (or 90s?).  You know the ones, who look all grisley and fit?  That is what I would like!  Until then, I just want to work hard and be as fast as I can, for as long as I can.

AM: (9+ miles, 1:20:19).  ~8 miles + 8 x 100 m strides.  A little sore today, yesterday I had some ART -- didn't hurt as much yesterday as it did today.  Funniest thing?  Poor John, he was about to cause me much pain and I knew it and took a deep breath and tried to act stoic.  Dean laughed at my face and John said, "I love my job" as I started to almost cry ;-). Dean thought that was pretty darn funny.

PM:(4 miles easy).

Happy Saturday bloggers, have to watch USATF cross-country!

HOLY COW.  Colleen DeReuck won the masters women's 8K by 1:45!!  She would have placed well in the men's race! WOWOW!

Oh, man, that stuff does hurt! I did come to tears during the "healing" sessions on my ankle. It does help though. Enjoy the cross country! I'll be trying to catch some of that, but I MUST see the downhill skiing and speed skating tonight also.

Wow, look at your mileage this week! You're my hero.

I've had ART hurt, but it has never brought me to tears. And it has never hurt the next day. Maybe my guy doesn't do it hard enough.

That's cool about Collen DeReuck. She lives here in Colorado and her husband is Nan's coach, I think.

Hmm. I don't know carolyn, it pretty much always makes me cry, maybe I am more of a baby. I have been running this mileage for almost 3 months now, except the week before and the week after my race. This is pretty much my bread-and-butter mileage these days I guess. I will likely push it up a little more as my half-marathon gets closer.

yes, Colleen is Darren's (Nan's coach) wife. Ritz killed the senior mens race and Shalane Flannagan absolutely dominated the senior women's race. It was a great day for cross-country!

Enjoy the skiing Auntie!

I have been looking for ART people over in this land the UK, but only have them in London which is a 4-5 hr drive depending on traffic bummer eh!

Great running today nice long run at a great pace Bonnie :)

That is a bummer Sam -- you would swear by them! In the case of injury, it would be worth the drive ;)

Sorry you had such a rough week -- I am glad your legs just felt heavy because of the "down time"! Heres hoping for a great week this coming week!! When is your next race?
