4 mile: 28:10 (2005)

10K: 43:33 (2010)

10 mile: 1:13:35 (2009) (1:12:15 split in 1/2 marathon, 2011)

1/2 marathon: 1:34:31 (2011)

marathon: 3:19:15 (2013)

Short-Term Running Goals:

3:20 marathon - Eugene Marathon, April 28, 2013 (can I say I really want a sub 3:20? but I will be happy with 3:20-3:23) -- whoohoo!

Some good intermediate races 15K - 1/2 marathon, to gauge my fitness level (done this, hit a 1:34:35 1/2 marathon in March 2013, on a hilly course)

Going after my 10 mile PR in Fall 2013

Maybe some good 10K races after the infernal Arizona summer is over!

Long-Term Running Goals:

I want to be one of those runners who is still running in their 80s (or 90s?).  You know the ones, who look all grisley and fit?  That is what I would like!  Until then, I just want to work hard and be as fast as I can, for as long as I can.

1:13:21.  Slow, but likely a bit longer than 8 miles too.  I just ran on some of the dirt roads around the mountains.  It was nice out, hot (about 90F, at least 40% humidity), but a little overcast - which makes all the difference.

Coyotes own this neighborhood I tell you.  "Ran" into one running up the road ... not even a little scared (him) ... it is pretty funny.

Have wonderful hump day bloggers!

Yay hump day! And only 87 minutes (here) until it's more than half over. :)

Good job on running in the heat!

That is pretty funny about the coyotes (of course, I prefer to pronounce it "coyote"). It's cool that you can all live in harmony.

Are you still in Fort Collins? Did you manage 90 degrees up there already today. We're still just at 70 here in Highlands Ranch.

I haven't seen a coyote in a while. I guess there all up there with you.

there are so many (awesome) parenthetical statements around here. be careful with those coyotes (JD: coyotes), and happy hump day (mine has been extended until 11pm, but i will survive (i will survive!) hey hey).

JD, that is how I pronounce it too!

CinC, I am back in Tucson where the lows have been in the 80s all week.

allie, please survive! I love hump day, I don't know why - I guess since it is only the 3rd day of the week my sleeplessness hasn't caught up with me yet and I still feel that there is a chance that I will finish my work during the week and not have to work on the weekend ... this hope/chance dissipates slowly as the week goes on ... Wednesdays are my optimistic day ;-)
