4 mile: 28:10 (2005)

10K: 43:33 (2010)

10 mile: 1:13:35 (2009) (1:12:15 split in 1/2 marathon, 2011)

1/2 marathon: 1:34:31 (2011)

marathon: 3:19:15 (2013)

Short-Term Running Goals:

3:20 marathon - Eugene Marathon, April 28, 2013 (can I say I really want a sub 3:20? but I will be happy with 3:20-3:23) -- whoohoo!

Some good intermediate races 15K - 1/2 marathon, to gauge my fitness level (done this, hit a 1:34:35 1/2 marathon in March 2013, on a hilly course)

Going after my 10 mile PR in Fall 2013

Maybe some good 10K races after the infernal Arizona summer is over!

Long-Term Running Goals:

I want to be one of those runners who is still running in their 80s (or 90s?).  You know the ones, who look all grisley and fit?  That is what I would like!  Until then, I just want to work hard and be as fast as I can, for as long as I can.

1:10:32 - relatively easy run up to 11th and then through Memory Grove Park and back up to my house.  Lots of elevation gains and losses - but I adore the trail down City Creek Canyon to Memory Grove Park, very idyllic.

I was happy my "running upill" muscles were not sore today, either I did not run hard enough yesterday or I am stronger after a month of doing them!  I am pretty tired though, I have had a few 12-13 hour days this week and it is really catching up with me.  I actually left work at my usual bedtime two nights in a row this week!  I have not done that more than a couple times since I was working on my dissertation, and I was much younger then!

Have a happy day bloggers - it does look like Spring today!

Bonnie, I hope your work settles down soon! 12-13 hour days are no fun. Good job on keeping up with the miles!

Yes! You must definitely be stronger after a month of doing hills! Way to go! You've got some great "up hill ninety"! (That's an old family term I still use with hills! My little brother always had a special button he would push in the car to help us up big hills.) That was back in the day without seat belts when the kids walked all about in the car and even rode up in the back window. How did we live through those years? I think it must have been the "up hill ninety" button that saved us! (I'm rambling I know!)

Thanks Maria, I hope you are doing well!

Kim - I hope don't mind if I use that "up hill ninety" sometime, I love it! I remember the no seatbelt days, we were in an accident and I literally flew from the backseat over my brother (remember the seats that you could flip without a handle?) into the windshield. And you could stand in the backseat and hang over your parents shoulder?

Have a nice day ladies!

Bonnie, awesome runs, it is either the hills, runners high, or, you are being rewarding by the running gurus for the hard work and being such a darn nice person.

aaaahhh Brent, you are so kind (it is good to know the sweetness of Sylvie is rubbing off on you ... he he). Seriously, you are a pretty darn nice person yourself.
