I ran the best buy loop on my own today after the warm up. Everyone else wanted to do 3-4 miles and they weren't stopping for Garmin so I ran on my own. It gave me a chance to concentrate on my form and strike the ball of my foot. I ran into Zach on about a quarter mile from the school and turned around and did the lower loop with him. He said they ended up doing 5 miles, I was proud that he did an extra 2 miles to get to 7! We watched son pretty awesome flotrack videos before running! I think I need to relax on race days and not worry or think about the race too much, its like this thing in psych we are learning in which if you aren't engaged in something enough you will do bad because you dont car, but I you're too preoccupied with it, you will do bad because you're so anxious.i need to be a little less anxious and relax. |
