One mile to and from the store.  The extra 1/2 snuck in while talking to a friend after Bible class.  I'm actually wishing I could get another 2 back and forth to the library but it is already almost 4:30.  Better planning tomorrow.

A thought. From your picture it looks like you should be able to run. What is it that keeps you from running for a long time? Is it the tendency to be injured or just being out of breath?

Thank you

I just lost 35 pounds since the first of the year with healthy eating. I did have asthma so I am cautious.

My only sport in HS was marching band so I have never had an athletic injury and don't want to start now that I've made 1/2 century without one.

It may be a good idea to run on grass to get used to running.

Speaking of marching band - watch out for the memory of marching band movement while running. When marching you put your foot in front of yourself. If you run like this, you waste energy and increase the chance of injury. The foot should land underneath your center of gravity. When it does you notice a difference - the running form becomes smooth and natural.
