3:15PM, 75F, 50% humidity. My schedule did not allow a morning run. I started by running 0.75M to the bottom of the major hill on this route. It's actually just a 100m hill with medium slope. I stopped my watch and run up and down the hill 5 times. Then resumed my run and did the rest of the run. I hate running after lunch. I felt nausea almost all the way and I still do now. Surprisingly the pace was not bad (8:09 average).

Did you have much wind in your area today? We had enough to really hurt my running today. And supposed to be stronger tommorow.

No, there was no significant wind. Perhaps I was too nauseous to notice it. I saw it says "Windy" in tomorrows forecast.

How is your Marathon training going?

From Scott Zincone on Tue, Sep 23, 2008 at 16:32:16

I have felt slow and tired my las 3 runs. Even though my times do not really show it. I feel ok with my daily mileage, but I have not done any long runs as of yet. And now it is less than 2 months to go. Oh Boy !

It might be a post-race syndrome. I usually feel a bit down after a race for a few days or even a week. It's hard to get motivated again when the next race is a bit far away.

I have not trained for a Marathon myself and the farthest I have ran is 13.1 miles. But it seems like the Marathon is more about endurance than speed and the long runs are absolutely crucial. You'll probably need to have a 18-20 miles run 4 weeks before the Marathon and maybe another one 3 weeks before it and then start tapering. But I'm no expert on it.
