Track Workout Wednesday

2.50 mile warm up with strides

Workout was 10X1mile with 60 second rest. Goal pace was 5:16 min/miles

splits- 5:06; 5:13; 5:08; 5:06; 5:04; 5:07; 5:10; 5:14; 5:10; 5:03

2.1 mile cool down

Workout went way good today! Huge mental buster. To be honest I have not been looking forward to this workout since Coach Cook put it down in writing for me. Once I started rolling the miles it felt like I just got into a rythem the enitre workout. I started getting tired on the 7th mile but hung in there and finished strong on the last 3.

Good to have it over with! Thanks Riley for the workout!

dude, that's at another level! very solid. Ben I love that you are going to crush everything you have ever done PR wise this year. I think its a couple of factors, first, you are healthy, second, school is almost done and you can see the light, third, you have had some really good consistency with your races and it is making you hungry to push, fourth, you are working with someone who is coaching you correctly. There is only one more factor that will take you over the top and that is running more consistently with the Ogden Crew. This will come shortly so I say you are actually right on track. MIH

I don't think Riley knows it but I think indirectly he's my coach too haha. I've been doing workouts he's been giving Amy. He's a great coach!

Continued...one of my better workouts today as well but it no longer seems any good. Awesome to see this type of work!

It has more to do with Ben believing and reaching higher than anything I help him with!

Angie, that's great. You're welcome to steal my workouts or ask for advice anytime. Amy sure enjoys running with you.

Riley I think I will take you up on that. I am going to need some help this summer for st George. I'm excited Amy's going to run a fall marathon it will be nice to train for it together.
